My wife and I just found this gem in Kittery, ME and couldn't be more happy that we did. I have a diagnosed gluten allergy (Celiacs) and although the Ogunquit, ME area offers several options for gluten free dining, this was the first we've found that offers fried whole belly clams, clam fritters (aka small clam cakes), and a few other fried fish options that are locally caught/harvested and all offered gluten free. The owner and staff are very knowledgeable about food allergies but everything is available gluten free so cross contamination was not even a concern. Tried the fish tacos, fried clams, clam fritters and clam chowder and everything was fantastic. Highly recommend this place and it will be one of our new favorites when visiting the area. Thank you State Line Lobster for a wonderful dining experience!

We were running errands in NH and on the way back up, we stopped at State Line Lobster to get a late lunch. Out of all the lobster places, skip this one. The ratings on here must be from out of staters or something. But for the price point, I was pretty disappointed. All in was $142 for two 6oz, two fries, two shakes. The lobster rolls had decent flavor but the meat was realllly chewy (meaning it was overcooked). The fries were not good (I ate 3-4 and threw the rest out). The chocolate milkshake made with custard was decent but the maple milkshake tasted like artificial flavoring and was a complete sugar bomb - too sweet, we threw it out as well. I will say the service was very polite, kind, and positive. With so many good options, not sure I’d do this one again :(

Outstanding! We were lucky to stumble onto this restaurant on our way through town. We ordered the lobster roll, hot honey haddock sandwich, and shrimp chowder-- everything was over the top delicious! Exceptionally fresh food, with a great overall vibe and atmosphere. Service was excellent, also. Thanks for an unforgettable lunch!!

My husband and I stopped in for an early dinner. We were greeted as we entered. The place is so clean and welcoming. Our server was so friendly and pleasant. I had the steamers and clam roll, so juicy and cooked to perfection. Husband had the corn pie and crab taco, he enjoyed his as well. We definitely will be back!

This was our second choice for fish and lobster rolls. It will now be our first! Delicious and plentiful food, as well as a very nice staff.

This place is so good! I got the 3oz lobster roll with mayo. Probably one of the best lobster rolls I’ve had. Very clean open kitchen with friendly staff & great service. I would definitely recommend!

Probably the best tacos I’ve ever had. Food was so fresh and the staff were incredibly nice. I got my food to go but there’s an outdoor deck & a great vibe. Considering going back tomorrow to treat myself for my birthday because it was just so good.

What a hidden gem!!!! This place is amazing. We had great service and great food. As soon as we walked in we were treated as VIPs, something that doesn’t happen at every restaurant. Anna, our waitress, provided not only amazing recommendations, but also some history of the restaurant and local area. After her recommendations of what beer would pair with what food, we decided and ordered. And WOW, it was majestic. We first ordered the lobster chowder as an appetizer. My wife and I then ordered the hot butter lobster roll and our son ordered the lobster state roll with mayo. We paired it with a great local Pilsner. The order came with a side order of fries. Anna brought out the chowder and the presentation was great but even better was the taste. Best. Lobster. Chowder. Ever. It paired nicely with the local beer. Anna brought our main course out next and, honestly, we’re the best lobster rolls we have ever had. The presentation was on point. The lobster was buttered perfectly, the bun was toasted crisply on the outside and soft on the inside, and lastly, the lobster was perfectly cooked and was not chewy. Or too lumpy. During the late lunch, Anna often checked in on us and refilled our drinks promptly. I would also like to point out that the lobster chowder made a great dipping sauce for the fires. The friendly staff allowed us to take pictures and even introduced us to individual who made our meal, Chef Jason. We stayed in this restaurant for a long time enjoying our meal and the great conversations between ourselves and the staff. Lastly, Anna brought out a beautifully presented plate of crab tacos Topped with a pineapple guacamole sauce. OMG these crab tacos were some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. THE ONLY ISSUE IS THE GPS LOCATION. The gps is off if you use google maps. The restaurant location just north of Cutts Road. THIS PLACE IS NOT JUST GOOD, IT IS A DESTINATION RESTAURANT. No matter where you are, it is definitely worth the trip to visit. The service, the staff; the presentation of our late lunch, and the Chef make this place a must.

This was my second trip to NH, Maine, and Mass. to see my in-laws over the summer. We had a long day at the zoo with our daughter and nieces, and my wife, who is originally from the area, picked this place. And let me tell you, it was phenomenal! We live in TX so this was a quick trip with a traditional lobster roll & a slice of Corn/Cheddar pie. Words and pics just don't do it justice. It MADE my day that's for sure and I'm so glad that I got the chance to share it with the girls! 🦞
