With a spin of the turntable... two spicy, savory deviled eggs... and a delicious beverage I never knew I loved... this place never disappoints.
When the waitstaff asks you about dessert... just say yes... or at least share one with your date

Enjoyed a wonderful meal with friends on their courtyard. The food was delectable! Definitely plan to return.
Awesome spot-everything was delicious especially the marinated tomatoes and the drinks were great. We will be back to try the rest of the menu!

5 stars all around! Black Birch is a MUST eat. My family decided to stop in Black Birch for a quick bite to eat on our way home from eating our way around Portland. Black Birch was by far our favorite meal we ate all weekend. The drinks were top tier and equally brag worthy. The art and record player playing tunes set the mood for a relaxing meal. Wishing we could take this restaurant home with us!

The atmosphere was amazing and it’s tucked in a cute corner spot of an old commercial building. The food was fantastic, and we had a seat right in front of the kitchen and could see every dish that came out. We hundred percent will go again try the great drink too, it will not be a mistake. Trying this place out.

This was our first time here since we moved to Maine from NJ and it was excellent. Nance was an excellent waitress and very friendly, and the food was just amazing . The drinks and desserts were to die for . We will be back again.. Get there early before the crowds

Undeniably the best restaurant in the area and it’s not even close you guys. And I’m talking a WIDE radius. Start with the eggs.

Excellent small plates worthy of a culinary award! Small space with some outside seating. Was packed mid-week.

This restaurant in what seems like a retrofitted ex-US Post office, is one of the best restaurants I have stumbled upon. The menu represents what is local and in season right now. Perfect seasoning and technique is the golden thread of culinary perspective. I can't suggest this spot enough. Just go...there is something for anyone and once you eat the food you will want to try everything on the menu. The only ding would be at the end of the meal the donut with lemon curd tasted a bit bitter as if the donut had been fried in the same oil as the fried and other savory items and had taken on some off flavors. 5 stars.

Very delicious, fresh, and satisfying dishes at the right price point compared to other similar restaurants in the area. Great service.

Poorly signed restaurant. Cramped seating. Dietary allergy restriction could not be accommodated on any dish, so we had to leave after ordering one beer and one cola for $15.
Be prepared to wait and wait some more. Showed up at 4, already packed. Told 1 hour wait. Left at 6:30 after the group never left the table we were waiting for. Probably more the hipster clients then the place itself but not worth the wait.
