Spent a month in Kittery, dining out regularly, and THIS was the best meal I had. Highly recommend.

What you said regarding Halal food, you don't sale any Halal food, it's better to be clear when someone ask you. Here some people base on culture and religion don't want to eat.

Went here for an anniversary dinner with my husband and I'm so happy we came. I'm always looking for a solid masala chai since a trip I took to India years back, and the chai here was spot on from what I remember on my trip... Such strong sense memories from the first sip!

We loved our entrees as well, my husband got kadhai paneer, and I got a paneer dish with a tomato base which were really good (although we ordered mild and it was still a little spicy for our taste, but not inedibly so). We lived a good chunk of time down in Boston in close proximity to lots of high quality Indian food, and Tulsi definitely stands up to many of them!

The garlic naan was so so good we ordered an extra batch to take home with us.

We will absolutely be back when we are back in Portsmouth again. The only thing that could have been better is if they had samosas... But I can't knock them for what's not on the menu ;)

Prices were high and food taste, quality, and quantity were not good compared to the price. Made a to go order and didn’t even receive napkins, plastic spoons/forks with the order.

I'm from NYC and often disappointed with the quality of restaurants when travelling. However, the food, service and ambience at Tulsi are all first class. The owner Raj is very attentive and hospitable. He recommended special dishes for our large party to share after understanding our preferences. We had such a memorable experience, by the end of the meal we even were asking him to be in our photos!

I’ve lived on both the east and west coast and, no joke, Tulsi has some of the best indian food I’ve ever had. The food is fresh, high quality and delicious. Service quality is sometimes a little chaotic, but I’m never waiting long for food and always leave feeling full and satisfied.

It’s not clear on their website, but Sunday lunch is buffet only and $30 per person.
