This place has great food & service. The menu has broad variety from seafood to steak to pasta dishes. The place gets packed and with low ceilings it does get loud. Unfortunately it closes early 8:00 PM so its not the greatest place for dinner. Its in an odd location not near other restaraunts on a main route like its former location on Route 4. Anyone from out of town wont find it unless they are specifically searching for it.

I experienced a disturbing scene while try to eat my dinner. A young waitress informed a customer that there would be a two dollar up charge on their bowl of their delicious clam chowder, Which the customer happily agreed to. But when the bill came She had charged them and up charge of $10 per bowl. The customer stated calmly that you said it was a two dollar up charge, Not a $10 up charge. The waitress stated no I said $10 and the customer asked to speak to her manager. At this point the Self proclaimed owner came over to see what the problem was and the customer explained exactly what happened. The owner then said that the waitress who was 18 years old had worked there for Five years and was not a liar. The customer stayed calm and repeated that he was told a two dollar up charge, that the waitress lied. The owner then went on a rant, screaming and hollering, trying to drag other restaurant patrons into the scene. It was ridiculous and unprofessional. And I for ONE will not be coming back to eat here. And on a sidenote, the owner had admitted to drinking on the job, which I think attributed to his poor behavior.

This was recommended to us by a local. They had several beers on tap. I started with the lobster stew, I loved the thickness of the soup the lobster in the stew could have used a little seasoning, but a few drops of hot sauce did it right. One of my sisters started with the shrimp cocktail and those were delicious.
The best thing about the meal.. hot butter lobster roll and the server asked me if I wanted 4 vs 8 oz. You know the obvious choice was 8 oz and it was the same price as what I get with the smallest bit of lobster back home. It was soooo good.

Good selection on tap & very high quality food for the price, which is very reasonable. Don't pass by the Chick-A-Dee when you're passing through, you will be glad you stopped in for a bite.

Hubby and I both had fried clams, me with the crumbs and his with batter. Delighted with that choice. We sat in the bar area. Service was good. Fried clams were excellent. French fries were really good. We will definitely return.

I got food poisoning after eating there and called and left a message with the manager. I was told someone would get back to me, but it’s been a week and I never received a call. You’ve lost business from me and my family going forward. All I wanted was a refund for the food that made me sick, not the entire $200 bill. Thanks for nothing.

We arrived a little after 7pm on a Friday and got seated right away. Our appetizers were good! The waitress thought our potato skins were a little too burnt but brought them out with the onion rings and pretzels because those were all done and told us whether we wanted to eat them or take them home that she was having the kitchen cook us more. So thoughtful! I got the fried clams and they were so delicious!! The coleslaw is also very good! My boyfriend got the maple bourbon steak and he enjoyed that! Very great service from our waitress, I forgot her name! I would definitely come here again!

Absolutely amazing! We went yesterday and not only did they have a dedicated fryer but a separate area. They made sure even my drink was gluten free. They brought out my food first and verified everything was cooked correctly with no issues. I have been waiting for years to find a place that not only had a dedicated fryer but fried seafood. The fried haddock, onion rings and sweet potato fries were beyond my wildest dreams. They have 3 pages of GF options. I always wait til the next day to write reviews because you never know how you'll feel until after you leave. I had zero issues and woke up this morning craving more lol. Staff was absolutely amazing! We will be back soon and after

Everything from the Registraion, Execution, Food And Incredible Service was Flawless and Amazing. My Family is very Grateful for all that you Did yesterday!!! Well Done Chick-A-Dee!!!
