Best dining experience in Lewiston. Great quality food and always wonderful service!
After looking at the other reviews it looks like it is mainly the chef might need to review the baked haddock recipe as I am not the only one who has had a bad experience with it. I had gotten a very under seasoned dry Baked Haddock. I would not be writing this review, but after sending it back (keeping the baked potato) They still charged us for the fish? We did get dessert on the house, but they would still make this the most expensive baked potato I have ever had haha. The rest of the food was good, the bread does come out cold which is unusual but not bad. Maybe I just got the manager on a bad day but it really put a damper on our dinner date. I would not have kept the potato if I had known. Server was amazing tho she was very nice and helpful the drinks are good. The Salad, and pork chop was all good.

Been going here for almost 20 years. Still going strong. Ahi Tuna crisps always good. Go to for a nice business lunch where you want to be able to talk or date night. Nice offerings of wine by the glass (one of better in the area) and salmon always cooked perfectly.

Absolutely amazing food! We had the steak tips and baked haddock and both were so very good. The clam chowder and cheesecake were delicious. No complaints!!! Will be back.

The manager needs to take responsibility for her wait staff. It wasn't busy but we waited extremely long for our orders. Then the orders weren't correct. Drinks were terrible. The pork chop was not fully cooked and the salad had only a few small slices of squash. I realize that mistakes can happen but the manager did not seem to care about our experience, and our waitress was so rude. I will never come back and I'll make sure others know.

I got a potato that was not really appetizing, it was old not fully cooked the only positive was it was huge, the fish I had was very small for a $28 menu order. It was delectable, my waitress threw away my partially eaten salad, she replaced it but still. The green beans in my plate were al dente. When I asked for them to be cooked longer they threw them out and gave me more al dente green beans. I was disappointed. As a single person, eating out is not an every day thing and to not be able to enjoy a $28 meal because of improper cooking and dining protocols I will not be returning. Too much time and money to get a small piece of fish that isn’t saturated in flour and fried. I like my fish. $28 bucks I should be getting a nice slice of fish and the other items be smaller and cooked right as well.

We had a fantastic meal here, the food and drinks were absolutely top notch. The scallops carbonara was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, and the seafood mixed grill was a standout with fresh, well-seasoned selections grilled to perfection. Cocktails were creative and delicious (once we got the right ones!).
That said, the service didn’t quite match the quality of the kitchen. We were brought the wrong drinks at first, and a chowder we ordered never made it to the table. Our server was friendly but seemed a bit overwhelmed or distracted.
Overall, the food is strong enough to bring us back, but with a little more attention to detail on the service side, this place could easily earn five stars.

Good Morning, We have been coming to Fishbones since it opened. This is the first time we have been disappointed. I ordered the Ahi tuna crisps (Way too salty) and the beet a goat salad (three small slices of beet). I have had these dishes before and they were great which is why I ordered them again. My wife ordered the baked haddock. The potato that came with the dish was huge but was not completely cooked. We'll be back.

Stopped in for dinner for daughter’s College Parents’ Weekend! Absolutely love the industrial chic! Loving the conversion of these majestic mills into gorgeous venues. We ordered oysters (fantastically fresh!), Caesar’s salad (it was ok!), a little surf and turf (it was ok, came out a little on the cold side when I love piping hot food), steak tartar (waitress comment: people seem to love it, but I’m not people, lmao - it was a tad bland but that’s what you get for ordering steak at a place called fish bones), ahi tuna (fabulous!). Overall a great experience! Super friendly staff which I love when visiting from out of town.

Fish Bones Grill is a gem! Just a short 40 minute drive from Portland, it was well worth the trip. I went with a friend, but this upscale and cozy eatery could be a perfect spot for date night, business casual and family alike. Staff is attentive and friendly, however, the real main event is the food. It was amazing! The menu has something for everyone no matter your tastes. For starters, their version of super crispy sweet and spicy bang bang shrimp with boom boom sauce and fresh lobster rangoons pulled you in! What’s next? I ordered the bacon wrapped filet mignon that literally melted in your mouth, accompanied by horseradish mashed potatoes, asparagus, blue cheese melt was crazy good! The portions were perfect! Prices were fair! The specialty drinks were an unexpected bonus! Fish Bones Grill is a MUST! I’m already thinking about what I will get next time!
My wife and I were there tonight and brought home a slice of carrot cake. AND IT WAS RAW!! The inside wasn’t cooked fully throughout. I use to really enjoy going to Fish Bones but, ever since the new owner Floyd took over that place has gone DOWNHILL. We’ve gave it so many chances since he’s taken over but tonight was just bad the food was a 1/10. I don’t understand how they’re still in business. A lot of the servers that use to be there have left, none of them look happy to be there and I don’t blame them. Will not be returning EVER FU FLOYD ruining such a great place
Great food, ambiance and drinks!

I’ve heard about this place for years but never been until today. Let’s just say, I’ll be back. Food and cocktails were spectacular and the service was spot on at the bar! This would easily be my go to restaurant if I lived a bit closer.

Horrendous. Table of 6. Family Dinner. Ordered the duck breast medium rare. Came out well done. Sent it back. Kitchen reacted the way I was hoping they wouldn’t. Rushed the next duck (understandable to feel that pressure, since I’m the only person at the table without food), but duck can’t be rushed. Low and slow. Now I was served raw duck. No need to mention anything to the server again (she was fine) as the rest of my party were finished with their meals. Sad.
