We tryed almost every place from Auburn to brunswick since we moved 2years ago we have finally found the place food was great tons of flavor and the portions were huge. And was still hot after a 20min ride home. the 2 older people who run the place were super nice and welcoming. Will definitely be going back next time we want chinese

I LOVE THEM. We got a large takeout order this evening and didn’t realize until we got home that we were missing our boneless ribs. We had plenty of food already and didn’t want to go back out, so we just let it go. But within 5 minutes of us getting home, they called us and offered to deliver it to our house!! Not only that - they threw in two free drinks and some egg rolls!!! The owners are always so kind, and the food never disappoints. We love Golden City!!!

I ordered delivery. Spent $40 on house fried rice. Sweet and sour chicken and a spring roll. And let me tell you the rice was like mush. It was so over cooked. My kids refused to eat it. And that says a lot. As my teen boy eats everything that crosses his path. I called to explain and the lady refused to take what I was saying to her. Just kept repeating that it was fine and meant to be like that. Then told me to bring it to her so she could see the food. My car is in the shop. If I had my car this would be the last place I would ever go. I explained my car was in the shop and I would have it back tomorrow thats why we ordered delivery. She then proceeded to tell me to bring it in tomorrow so she could look at it. My kids are now eating Raman after spending $40 on mush. I will never go back nor suggest this place to anyone

NOPE!Risky and not worth it...$38 for a mixed seafood plate, some mushy white rice, and crab rangoon.Seafood was still ice cold (previously frozen ) and cooked in a bland, brown sauce that smelled like canned dog food. There was a shriveled up piece of lobster tail and one scallop, but mostly imitation crab, and a few shrimp, in A LOT of veggies...FOR $25!If you like cinnamon, try the crab rangoon for $10.99! ?They didn't care. They had my money. They were all set.Just don't.

IT WAS AMAZING ?? HAND'S DOWN THE BEST!!!!I have been a periodic repeat customer and I brought my mother and my 11-year-old and it was both their first time and they both fell in love and say that this is the best local Chinese in Lewiston, Auburn, Lee, Wales, Greene etc.I even read some of the bad reviews and it had nothing to do with the food, unless you don't like your rice legitimately being fried. That is the one stellar difference about this place versus other places; they don't boil the rice, they fry it and you may not like that flavoring - like a grill in your food. Their food ain't bad; it's an acquired taste.But seriously, if you want A++ quality meat, tender food, and amazing sauces - you need to go eat there and you'll see for yourself ??!
Very delicious Singapore chow mein fun. Definitely the best I've had so far in Lewiston. (Take that with a grain of salt since good Chinese is hard to find in Maine.) One thing to note: they said it would be ready in 15 minutes but it actually took 45, so just take that into consideration when ordering.
