I am obsessed with Orchid Lewiston. When I moved back to Maine, I was desperate to find Thai that had the FLAVOR I was looking for. And then I found Orchid! Nothing is watered down, everything tastes so good. My personal favorites are the red curry, pad Thai, pad see ew, and shrimp shumai. In fact, their shrimp shumai is unlike any other. Whatever I'm dipping it into, it's perfectly sweet and not overbearing. Love their food!
Please note I only ever order through DoorDash. I have never eaten inside, although I went in once with my sister and it looked really cute and peaceful.

I had the BEST first experience here! Ale sat me and made sure I was doing well for my whole visit. Bill was making me drinks and made me the best spicy margarita I have EVER had. He used Thai chilli and it was so great. I cannot wait to come back! What a gem!
Also they were so accommodating when I asked if my spicy marg could be strained. I can’t imagine somebody coming here and not being happy or pleased. It’s a wonderful gem. Can’t wait to come back!!

In the last three times that I've ordered from Orchid it has been an extreme struggle to even receive my order. The first time I received part of my order and I didn't receive the rest and unfortunately it took 2 hours to get the order. Orchid made up for it by giving me a gift card and redoing my order and I had to go pick it up instead of having it delivered. The next time that I ordered they were open taking orders and even though it was snowing outside once again my order after 2 hours did not arrive so I contacted them and they said that they were having trouble getting a delivery driver and I said that I either one of my money back or my food... considering the fact that I was hungry and had ordered lunch over 2 hours ago. The owner delivered it here in his four wheel drive truck to my office and I had to go downstairs to collect it. Today I ordered and even though it's President's Day I wouldn't think that the restaurant was closed. I ordered online. 40 minutes went by and my order was canceled and I received a text message that said your order has been canceled. I still have not been refunded. This restaurant continues to struggle with closing its online platforms when it's not going to be open and getting orders to customers on time. The food is good and that's why we want it and that's why we pay the high-end prices that they charge for their food. If you have too many online ordering platforms and you are struggling to manage them all or if you cannot simply go online and log into your account with these online platforms and shut it down for days that you are closed then we cannot continue to do business here. I would like my refund of $69.79 from today's order February 16th 2026 ordered around 11:15 a.m. and I honestly think that I should be compensated for this struggle above and beyond what I paid for nothing.

I ordered curry, which doesn't come with meat automatically, it costs $3 to add a protein. It took them over half an hour to bring my food out and they put chicken in it, they did not bring my spouse's food out with mine. I sat and waited for them to bring the rest of our food. We finally asked how much longer after waiting 15 more minutes and they said they didn't know but would ask. The server never came back to give us an ETA. So we left without touching the food that they did bring because I'm not just going to eat while my partner is also hungry and doesn't have food.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this Thai restaurant on a recent trip back to Bates. The food is very tasty and seems authentic, and the staff is pretty friendly and helpful.

The sushi was so good! Everything tasted super fresh and delicious! I was nervous about some of the rolls being deep fried, but it was very light and crunchy! Not heavly battered.

First time here tonight! Service was a little slow but to be expected as they were full with people waiting for tables. There seemed to be only one waitress and she was working hard! Food was outstanding! We will definitely be back!

It’s one of those places you can always count on, whether it’s a casual meal or a night out.
This will forever be my go-to spot. Orchid Thai sets the bar — highly recommend.
