New owner(s) as of recently. The server was sweet but the owner was WAY too concerned with having us pay as soon we would order anything- very awkward. Here I am middle aged with my elderly parent, I'm not going to pull a dine & dash. The food was in small portions, mostly tasteless, annnnnd expensive. When someone who knows how to run a cafe runs the place, I might try it again. Ho hum....

inconsistent food, randomly open, ever changing staff (4 efforts in one year) could be a good place in a small town if someone was serious

Stop by for a Bloody Mary while your partner browses Liberty Tool.

My wife and I found this place a couple weeks ago on a trip along coastal Maine. So glad we turned off the "main" road to check it out for lunch. Really cute building and great food prepared by Kim, including possibly the best Maine blueberry pie I've ever eaten. We understand the restaurant has been around for a while but with new management this summer. If you're in the vicinity we highly recommend you check it out, it's that good!

Really great simple sandwiches with some personal touches and good quality ingredients. Friendly staff too! Try the lavender lemonade!

We were headed back down to Boston as we wrapped up our trip up the coast. We found this place early afternoon and were so glad we did. It's a comfortable, cool, relaxing little place with great food. We understand it's under new ownership this year so a lot of the info online is a little out of date. However, we would gladly go back anytime we were anywhere close to Liberty ;-) Kim's cooking is so good, and the prices so reasonable, it's a real find in our opinion. A bonus: Kim's Maine blueberry pie may have been the best I've ever had, and I've sampled quite a few ;-) Highly recommended!

Absolutely lovely place, right off of 220. Attentive hosts and delicious menu. Great place to stop on the way into or out of the north country!

Stopped for lunch on the deck on a nice fall afternoon. Small but nice lunch selection that we both enjoyed very much. First time visit but we will be back for sure and just a short trip to John's ice cream which is a must!

Good wholesome food in downtown Liberty, Maine.

Incredibly unprofessional for planning events. Triple booked my sorority for an event, told us the day before, and refused to offer us a refund.
It was a gorgeous Maine day and my husband and I decided to try one of our bucket list restaurants. We were not disappointed. 51 Main is quaint, warm and welcoming restaurant. Exactly what I love about small New England establishments. My other half ordered the reuben omelette and I had the Louisiana benedict. Both were delish. The corn cakes at the base of my benedict were the perfect amount of sweet to compliment the spice from the rest of the dish. I could have made a meal on the corn cakes and coffee alone. :-) The reuben omelette was made with local sauerkraut and the rye bread on the side was beyond compare. A lovely and delicious local restaurant that deserves many more trips! Oh and they also have Lake St. George beer on tap! Danny’s Oatmeal Stout for the

I would go out of my way to have breakfast or lunch here, based upon what saw in my visit. I had the "Maine Benedict" which includes chunks of lobster meat under perfectly poached eggs. My bride had a bacon and artichoke quiche, which was also excellent. No rubbery commercial piecrust here. The remodeled old home is lovely.
