The setting was very cool... not only picnic tables to sit on outside but it was cool and breezy. It was close to closing time for the Lobster Pound, but that did not stop the great food and service. I had the lobster and my son had the lobster roll. While the lobster was good the lobster roll was even better. They gave us bags of chips not fries as they were not available? But it was ok as we saved them for the room of our hotel. What a memorable experience to see the lobster boats coming in with their catches.. the smell of the ocean breeze right there. A memory will last lifetime.

Stood in a line for over 15 minutes with no greeter or hostess. No one addressed any of us. Not even letting us know that someone would be right with us. We didn't even see anyone other than servers working the floor. Several folks left and we saw them next door at The Whales Tooth which acknowledged and seated us right away. Someone dropped the ball big time.

Best chowder on the coast. It’s excellent! The lobster was meaty and fresh. Service was prompt and friendly. We enjoyed a great view of the ocean in a relaxed casual atmosphere.

I do not like this place. It is over priced. The service is poor. It is in such a great location but apart from that it just a sub par place taking advantage of tourists.

We happened to stop in for lunch one afternoon and the shrimp po boy was a delightful surprise. It was absolutely delicious! Looking forward to another visit!

No substitutes even when you want a $3 side instead of a $4 side. Makes no sense as 99% of restaurants do substitutions. Food was good. Service was a bit inattentive as I ran out of water a little over halfway through my meal and had to drink my husband's.

The portions are huge, fast service and fair prices. The only drawback was the flies inside. I understand it's that time of year but it was very distracting trying to keep them off the food. But the food was delicious!

We ordered five, two pound, hard shell lobsters to be cooked and cracked open. I ordered at noon for a 6 PM pickup. I arrived at 5:45 PM, but had trouble communicating with the help. Almost everyone working was from Honduras and struggled with the English language. I finally got my lobsters at 6:20. We arrived back at our cottage and the lobsters had not been cracked open, plus there were four two pounders and one one and a quarter pounder . We were five people in our 80's and we are weak and arthritic! Cracking the shells was nearly impossible and we had to take them outside and break them open with a large hammer. The meat was way overcooked and disappointing. I have been doing take out lobster in this area for 60+ years - Lincolnville, Belfast, Rockland, Camden, etc. and this was the worst experience I have had and I won't go back.

The food was good, all three of us had a lobster roll which was decent. They were short staffed which is reoccurring almost everywhere so we ordered our food to go and sat on the patio to eat. Our chief complaint is they put a big wet pickle alongside the roll which seeped into the bread, disgusting!

The waitress was upset that she didn't get paided her 20 percent. Apparently they work on 20 percent tips not hourly there. The scallops were huge, not cooked...they were cooked from frozen which maybe we can understand. The bowel of Lobster bisque..was a cup to me. Compared to other places along Maine. This place had a server with an attitude and was acting like a very entitled person. Good looks may get you in the door my dear, but one word out of your mouth gets the door slammed in your face. Also to the owners of it's an expectation you may want to have it posted..not everyone is from Maine..do.your business a favourite and post it that it is suggested, mandatory, or put it on your debit machine. Customers work hard for their money and you have no idea who can afford or not afford. Yes you did loose out on this one, not by us not according but because we don't reward bad behaviour.

My dad and I dined here a few days ago and we both really liked it. My dad had the Lobster Pound Burger, medium well, and said it was perfect. I had the Lobster Roll, cold with lemon aioli, and it was one of the best lobster rolls I've had. The fries looked like basic bagged shoestrings you'd get at the grocery store, but they were tasty even without ketchup, which is how I prefer my fries. The view was gorgeous and the staff was attentive and friendly. All in all, a great dining experience.

Really enjoyed sitting seaside and the view of the ocean. Nice tables with umbrellas to block the sun. Gift shop was a interesting and nice. Ordered the lobster roll with fries - all absolutely divine! Chicken fingers were a good meat to breading ratio with tasty ranch. Meat was a bit dry though. We also ordered the onion rings and they were perfectly sweet and crunchy. Liked the nice touch of serving the chicken finger basket on a frisbee.Parking: Dedicated restaurant parking away from beach parking

First night in Maine and we stopped here for dinner. I had the haddock cakes and corn on the cob, Mom had calamari and green beans, Dad had mussels and red potatoes. Everything was tasty and well cooked. We finished the night with some dessert. They don't joke about the carrot cake being mile high!

We found ourselves at a picnic table in late August directly overlooking the Atlantic. Lobster bisque and a haddock sandwich were very good, though pricey. Friendly service in a family environment.
