The Lobster Bisque was phenomenal, and they were generous with the lobster portion! I had a cool talk with a local while I was here. Great experience!

We were just happy to be able to find food in Lubec.
Fish and chips: fish was haddock. Not oily at all, very light and excellent flavor. Tartar sauce was good The chips were not very exciting.
Lobster stew: okay, but nothing fantastic.
Crab cake burger: GREAT crab cake. They described it as “all crab no cake” and that’s definitely true.
Atmosphere nothing special — interior is pretty plain. Service also mediocre — our server was nice enough, but seemed like they were slightly understaffed. Food came out quickly though.

This has become our go-to for a tasty meal with excellent service any time we're in Lubec!

Waitress was surly, we are fairly local, and not demanding. Gave my wife an attitude about asking for lemon for her fried haddock.
I got a piece with my dinner, so just an oversight.
Lemon is more than a garnish with fish.....
She seemed unhappy to be there.
Food was good, location a big plus.

My mom and I ate food there for lunch on Monday, September 29th during our New England Road Trip. (Also, I’m a person who is Deaf and hearing impaired.)
After visiting Quoddy Head State Park, we were very hungry and excited to eat and sit by the sea. My mom was looking forward to eat the fish & chips. Parked my car weirdly downhill next to this restaurant.
And unexpectedly, my vibes turned out bad after came out to our short, old lady and light grey short haired server named Valerie. When we got in and we didn’t see the sign that would be like “Please seat yourselves” nor “Please wait until the server gets here.” I saw Valerie’s face and she was very moody. Unhappy. Even not a smile with her glasses on her nose. I said politely, “Good morning, ma’am. We’re here for lunch. Next thing she said to my mother got my vibe upside down. “I don’t understand what’s he saying.” My mom didn’t say anything but she immediately got bad vibes with her. I said, “Hold one a second.” And I got my phone out, texted and showed to her. “Hello, I’m a person who is Deaf and hearing impaired. Good morning. We’re here for lunch.” And Valerie said, “go seat yourselves.” Even not saying please. We looked each other shocked afterwards when we sat down at our table with a beautiful scenery sea window view.
I always be polite to her and called her ma’am a few times when she got us drinks and we ordered our food. My vibes with her never change. Also, my mom’s vibes never change.
We got our food. I have a picture of the food I had below. BLT with French Fries and a side of coleslaw. BLT was very good. A side of coleslaw was really good. Fries were just alright. Mom got the Fish and Chips with a side of coleslaw. Her food was good.
When we were eating our food, I was looking around the restaurant that I saw a couple of groups were sitting to eat. It was damn and awfully quiet. Second group of two men arrived and Valerie got her face happy and wide smiling. I assume they are local in Lubec, Maine. Sadly, my mom caught our server Valerie kinda made fun of us as her hands around her head mocking us when have a conversation with two men and looking back at us. We just were having a conversation when eating.
Before we left, I said to her, “Hope you’ll have a good day.” She said, “You too” with a smile. I bet she would be happy with we as the strangers and/or travelers being gone. Service was worst. 👎🏼 And we were looking around the gift shop next to the restaurant. The two young girls were sitting down. Even not saying anything like “How’re you doing?” Or “Do you need something?” I saw one of these two girls was death-scrolling her phone. I can’t believe what did I see after leaving the restaurant and the gift shop.
So I felt like she has no passion with this family restaurant. She was ignorant, unhappy, and awfully rude. She has a freaking terrible attitude. She dislikes the people outside of Lubec, the strangers and the travelers. We were just here to eat and enjoy ourselves.
If you are a traveler, road trip person and/or a person who loves food, I don’t recommend going there. Even we’re not coming back if we or I would come back to visit awesome and beautiful Lubec, Maine.

Apparently this establishment has changed hands and it's not customer friendly. 2 waitress that are slow and unorganized.
Luckily we are on vacation and have no where to go, but waiting over 1 hour for our food is a bit crazy. Not much on menu if you don't like seafood.
I don't like to post negativity but I think the new owners need to know they need to step up their game or lose business quickly.
