Great company and great people! Their restaurant, The Public House is amazing! Food is delicious, their staff always smiling and attentive. Worth visiting them as well as their cottages! Amber is the best!
We've been here twice now and both times were great! Blueberry cobbler French toast is to die for! Burger was good as well. Sweet potato fries are awesome and so is the Blueberry margarita.

Dog friendly patio!
Amanda our service was very good.
Our steaks were prepared as ordered and delicious. Good value for the price point.
If I had to offer a suggestion, hand wipe all glassware to eliminate water spots.
Please consider putting a window covering on the windows. We had a dinner reservation at 5:45 and the table near the window was almost unbearable due to the setting sun.

A fine restaurant in the middle of nowhere! Fantastic setting on farm land in Machias. Tables inside and terrace outside in a beautiful environment. Inside space is sumptuous with a rustic modern style ambiance, it works great! Clean and inviting. Food was delicious!
Two of us had the lobster roll with drawn butter & we both agreed it was by far the freshest & best lobster that we have ever had. My other son got the fish & chips, raving about how it was the best he had ever had & the seasoning added to the breading made it. We noticed how well groomed the help was & our server, Kristen, was awesome….pleasant & very accommodating. We highly recommend this restaurant & can’t wait to go back next year. Btw, this is located on a huge farm & the view is incredible!

The children menu and the adult steak were fine. The so call lobster boil was a scam. Terrible sauce, one lobster claw, 2 small dungenous crab claws, lots of some sausage, two small pieces of bad corn, a few uncooked potatoes for $34. Could not eat it. What a waste. The service not so good. Would not go there again.

We stopped in after leaving Jasper Beach!! The atmosphere is friendly with echos of conversations from various patrons enjoying breaking bread together. I tried the black angus ribeye with the caramelized mushrooms & onions and a side of garlic mashed potatoes, dad had the seafood alfredo , our meals did not disappoint. The servings were generous and flavorful! We both tried The Maine- Arita which was a delicious blueberry infused margarita!! For dessert we had the peanut butter bomb which was decadent and a must try!! I highly recommend a nice family dinner or even a couples lunch here!!
