This place is an oasis in the Wilds of Down East, especially on Sunday when it seems there is no decent places to eat open beyond Ellsworth! On our way to West Quoddy we needed food and Google found the Public House. At first I thought it was a mistake because it showed the location literally out in the middle of nowhere but we found it and were very pleased. The location is beautiful, surrounded by woods, farmland and water and the building is also attractive. We were seated...

The menu is very gluten free friendly. The crab dip was excellent with the perfect amount of chips. The oyster mignionette was delicious. The waitress was attentive and helpful. We had the chicken fingers and the fish and chips, both wonderful. Definitely will be back if I'm ever nearby again, even worth a special trip.

Cozy yet elegant, this beautiful restaurant is tucked away in the heart of downeast Maine. Our server is a friendly and courteous man, and his skills behind the bar are as marvelous. The food had generous portions and bursted with flavor!
