I do a fair amount of traveling and Helen’s is now on my top 5 list of places, no questions. Good variety on the menu along with good dessert options (save room, it’s worth it). The staff was extremely friendly and made you feel comfortable, the restaurant itself was very well kept and clean which to me says a lot. Next time I am in the area I will be making my way there again. I highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed.
Absolutely love Helen’s. I have eaten there since 2010, every time I am in Machias. All the seafood is fresh and delicious and over the years I have tried it all. This year was special as I celebrated my birthday there. Thanks Julie and David for making it “extra” special.
We have eaten here twice within the past month (most recently this past Friday night) and this is definitely now one of our favorite restaurants! The food and service are absolutely phenomenal. Their menu is very expansive and their prices are quite reasonable. Both times we've been here, we've sat at the bar and our bartenders were on their A game!
