Thank goodness this place had Wi Fi and was open for business. There are very few places to eat in Machias, Maine. On a nostalgia note, this is the Easternmost McDonalds location in the United States. Kim the Manager told me to see Jasper Beach during adventure and I did. Absolutely fantastic recommendation.
The food is standard McDonald's so no complaints, and the staff is always courteous and you can tell they are really trying. The corporate franchise that is McDonald's is not winning any points with me on how much they've increased the prices on basic things and made it outrageous to eat out. Also the particular McDonald's that is located in town has been understaffed lately at night and probably in general... I went to stop there multiple times recently and...
This Machias location was a little dirty today. I haven't been there in awhile (and usually drive thru). My autistic son and we sat inside because he and wanted to eat-in. I almost left when we went to get our drinks there was a dark, stinking liquid beside the soda machine (smelled like puke). I had to wipe our table. We had a good time despite the unkept establishment.
