If you’re in Mars Hill, Maine, you HAVE to stop by Timberwolves! From the second you walk in, you can feel the pride the owner takes in this place. The atmosphere is absolutely top-notch — warm, welcoming, and full of that perfect small-town Maine charm. It’s the kind of spot where you instantly feel at home, whether you’re there with family, friends, or just grabbing a bite after a long day.
Now let’s talk about the brisket burger… hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. Juicy, smoky brisket cooked to perfection, stacked high, and packed with flavor in every bite. You can tell it’s made with care and quality ingredients. And the fries? Golden, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside — perfectly seasoned and the ideal match for that incredible burger.
The owner has truly created something special in Mars Hill. The food, the atmosphere, and the attention to detail all deserve five stars. Timberwolves is a local gem, and we’ll absolutely be back again and again!

The place was extremely dirty and the food was just plain terrible. My burger was raw and when I requested a new one the man was extremely rude, I asked to speak to the manager and he informed me that he is indeed the owner of the restaurant. I was completely taken back to learn that someone who acted so immature and inexperienced could be the actual owner of this place. Although I had been nothing but kind when requesting that my burger be cooked more than it was, he acted like I was the biggest pain in his rear and that I was annoying him to with my complaints. He even made a comment about me being a picky eater. And said that I must not be from around here. And this wasn’t said in a friendly manner… I was embarrassed as people were staring at us. But as soon as I thought this situation couldn’t get any worse… they brought me back one that was so overcooked I probably wouldn’t have been able to bite through it, but I didn’t want it anywhere near my mouth. I wanted to cry. I asked for my bill. He charged me for both burgers. I put my money on the table and walked out… he was laughing as I walked away and I haven’t felt that bullied since high school. Actually, this was worse than high school.

I Just want to say Michael Stiggle I am proud of you and the Timberwolves Family you've come a long way keep it going....
The only thing better than the food was the service and the burgers were 10/10! In the fast paced world of the 21th century it’s easy to loose sight of what is at the heart hospitality. On a warm, sunny Monday in April, my wife, children and I were blessed enough to be given a lesson in what true hospitality looks like. Mid afternoon while criss crossing the wilds of Aroostook county, we spotted the Timber Wolves on Main Street in Mars Hill. We unloaded from the car, walked across the street and approached the door. The owner’s son open the door greeted us and welcomed us in, only for us to find out they were in fact closed as it was Monday. Nevertheless, we were invited in offered hamburgers and french fries, and cold drinks. Aside from the extraordinary hospitality, the food easily stands on its own as amazing. We had simple hamburgers with french fries as the kitchen was mostly closed. The burgers were crispy on the edges; cooked perfectly medium well inside and the fries were hot and fresh. What could’ve otherwise been a disappointing experience trying to find late afternoon lunch on Monday turned into a wonderful dining experience. Mike was amazing, serving as a gracious host and providing wonderful conversation. In addition to the outstanding food it turns out he sells his barbecue sauce all over the state of Maine and we look forward to finding it in the grocery store down east. 10 out of 10 would totally recommend that you try Timber wolves when passing through Mars Hill.

Great people, tasty burger!!
Never would eat at your place. I'm the lady who had to drive you out of the meat room on more than one occasion in Presque Isle for try to buy expired meat to serve at your place of business. You are just gross!
They stayed open for us even though they closed at 9:00 pm. They are so great and explained the menu to us and everything was hot and fresh. Recommend it to all. Wonderful atmosphere and it's very warm and comfortable.
