What a gem! The food and drinks were perfection! I had the Halibut that was caught that day. It was seriously the best I have ever had. My husband, who is incredibly picky about his lobster said it was top 3. The atmosphere is super chill and the view is stunning. Our server, Sandy was so knowledgeable and so sweet. She made great recommendations and spent time chatting with us about our vacation and made our 7 year old daughter feel super fancy with a Shirley Temple. If you are in the area….you must stop at Abel’s!
Service and food were outstanding!
Everything here was fantastic! Waitress was so friendly, food and drinks were great! I think this was the best lobster I had in Maine!

Great food and service. The best view for outdoor seating. Good weather is key.
On rare occasions a restaurant gets everything right, and this warmly informal place nestled next to Somes Sound is a perfect lobster-and-other-yummy-things experience. The lobster itself is so fresh it melts in your mouth, and the rest of food our group ordered was also terrific. We loved the outdoor spaces, with the smell of woodburning fires wafting over our table and the sun setting beyond the boats and water. The crowd was convivial and the service was super friendly and real - big thanks to Emma A., who made the dinner even more fun. Can't recommend more strongly for a coastal Maine meal.
Abel’s is a fantastic place for Lobster. The service staff is great and the food is better. I HIGHLY recommend eating here. Check out their boiling station near the water. This is a must visit.
Fantastic food - the cocktails were perfectly crafted, steamers were the best I've had in ages, fish was incredibly fresh. Everyone was welcoming & service was excellent. Cannot beat the harborside ambience at sunset!
Loved the food and the service was amazing! Emma was the best and did such a great job. Will definitely be back!
The view overlooking the sound at sunset was spectacular and the crab roll was delicious (they even garnished it with little edible flowers).

Get there early, prepare to be turned away if your group doesn't match available seating. Not your typical lobster pound. But great food and drink options and the views to match!

The feeling you get at this place is quintessential and effortless main. Very strong showing of beer and wine to accompany fresh lobster. Don't miss hanging out by the campfire ? for the eve after dinner!

Great views and very friendly staff. I got the lobster roll on gluten free roll, and it was good but the GF bread option crumbled immediately and made it impossible to eat. The lobster was great quality but had too much aioli for my taste, and this place is pricey.
Dietary restrictions: They have a GF lobster roll option but the bread was too crumbly and immediately fell apart

Came here many times during my summer working on MDI. Always had delicious food and the atmosphere is hard to beat! Right on the water. It’s also a great spot to catch the sunset. I’ve had different servers each time and all were great.
Parking: Easy and readily available parking at the restaurant.
