My husband and I are visiting from out of town and had the best experience! Emma A was lovely! She was extremely attentive, personable and her recommendations were on point. She was also great with our dog, honey, and even gave her a milk bone :) We had the crab fritters, mussels and fried clams and everything was delicious. If you’re looking for a place with good food and a beautiful view, Abel’s Lobster is the place to go!

Abel’s is not to be missed! On the water as you head to Northeast Harbor with beautiful views, indoor or outdoor seating and top notch gourmet food in an ultra casual setting! Other than the incredibly rude and miserable hostess (Jill), the waitstaff was great! The food is unbelievable-do not miss the lobster bisque- presented and tastes like a James Beard winning restaurant and absolutely delicious! The mussels, steamers also delish!! Lobster rolls, fried clams, burgers, local crab roll-all outstanding! And the homemade Maine blueberry pie- unbelievable- the best crust!! A must have!! A must!!

Beautiful view right on the bay. We had to wait 45 mins for our table (which was fine- the view was amazing) and the parking was kinda hectic- there’s a little lot that gets full quickly so everyone kinda just parks wherever. But the staff were all super nice and helpful and the food itself was really good ! I got the fish bisque and it was really good !! Overall would visit if in the area. So beautiful.

What happened to Abel's Lobster? We went on Saturday, Aug 9 and they had a sign "closed for dinner today." We called on Sunday, Aug 10 and the machine (and website) still claimed they are open every day – but they didn't call me back. Stopped by again today (Monday Aug 11) and they are closed with no sign or explanation. Are they out of business?? [Who closes three days in a row in August in a tourist town with a 10-week season???]

What a gem! The food and drinks were perfection! I had the Halibut that was caught that day. It was seriously the best I have ever had. My husband, who is incredibly picky about his lobster said it was top 3. The atmosphere is super chill and the view is stunning. Our server, Sandy was so knowledgeable and so sweet. She made great recommendations and spent time chatting with us about our vacation and made our 7 year old daughter feel super fancy with a Shirley Temple. If you are in the area….you must stop at Abel’s!

After a long hike today we were so lucky to stumble on Abel’s for the absolutely best lunch experience in memory. Nine of us ordered a variety of entrees, and all of them were exceptional. Our server, Emma, was delightful and friendly and helpful. We sat outdoors at one of the beautiful water view tables and enjoyed a meal together that we’ll all remember for a long time.
A great hidden restaurant that had some amazing lobster rolls. I highly recommend if you are visiting the island for any reason
