Mid experience overall. The food was fine, nothing to write home about but enough to prompt a two-star rating from me. I had scallops and husband had a lobster roll. Lobster roll was better. Scallops weren’t for me. Service was pretty lackluster. Not great music playing, very jam band vibe. If you like jam bands, you’ll like this.

My wife and I had the clam chowder this morning. Upon her first spoonful she gave me the look...uh-oh, and after my first I understood...the chowder tasted sour and appeared slightly curdled. Further, it was tepid, not hot, guessing it was yesterday's leftover and not microwaved long enough. Should have sent it back but too polite to do so

All the food we had was delicious, the fries, fried fish. Batter is nice and lite. Fresh oysters were outstanding. The mozzarella sticks are out of this world ! You can see the attention to detail with the way everything is cooked and served.

In early July we went in at 3 PM, not busy at all, the place was spotless and the service was quick. My wife had the lobster dinner and I had the grilled haddock and everything was prepared properly and fresh. It’s a shame that the 3.8 star rating they currently have is obviously based on terrible reviews from before the change of ownership. All the one star and two star reviews are over two years old. I wish there could be some adjustment to that for the sake of the new owners, as it likely turns a lot of people off. I normally won’t go to a place under four stars, but I walked-in during a stroll through Northeast Harbor and was unaware of the poor rating. I’m glad we stopped and we will be back for sure. UPDATE: On 8/13 I returned for a take-away burger, fries and ice cream. All were prepared as requested and delicious! ??

This was my first time dining in since ownership turned over last year and talk about a great experience! Scott (the owner) and his team made us feel welcome right away with a lowkey vibe scored to an all hits classic rock playlist, a crowd of friendly locals who clearly know they have a good thing going, and a menu offering the exact seafood staples I look for while I'm in Maine. The Docksider has definitely earned a spot at the top of my MDI dining list as a spot I'll be returning to for years to come

They have the best lobster rolls and fries! Also the burgers are epic! Last year we had the best blueberry pie! This is one of our top restaurants on the island. The service is perfect and they are all so NICE!!

So pleasantly surprised from the very first.step inside this quaint coastal eatery to the cordial greeter and servers… the food? WOW…. Amazing from the first bite to the very last crumb of crispy, buttery batter covering every piece of delicious seafood. Unbelievable. We loved it!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Docksider and it was an absolute delight. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with friendly and attentive service. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing easy meal. We had the option of dining inside or out. The seafood dishes were so fresh and flavorful. We had clams, scallops, haddock, fries and all I would try again. I’m planning on going back to get a lobster roll and icecream!
