“This new restaurant will surely be a feather in the cap for the Mt. Vernon community. We were treated to an exotic six-course vegetarian dinner, expertly served over two hours in an atmosphere of mystique, adventure, and the warm glow of a forest cabin. Outdoor fire pits with lounge chairs invited us to sip drinks between courses, while indoors a wall fountain and soft background music set a tranquil mood for the 30 guests served each night. The prix fixe menu, featuring local fare, and which changes each week, is exclusively vegetarian (with fish offered only in July) and showcased thoughtful pairings such as peaches with nuts, tomatoes with basil, mozzarella and vinaigrette, and complex but delicate tostadas. Not for the faint of heart cost-wise, this is a rare and memorable dining experience in the Maine woods.“

“Every time we see Fresh Ella's we are sure to get a tasty treat, we sometimes go to the Belgrade farmer's market on Sundays just for the ice cold sweet treats! By far my favorite interaction to date has to be yesterday's, we were lucky enough to have Fresh Ella's at our son's 7th birthday and boy oh boy were we spoiled by all her treats! I love ice cream, but there is something special about her fresh fruit popsicles...so I find myself always gravitating to those! You seriously can't go wrong. Carey is also one of the kindest people always being sure to make small talk with the kiddos who come to her truck window for a treat ♡“
