Birthday Breakfast...and Dew Haven. 6 adults 4 kids. Service was great...food was delicious. Kids loved the animal park which is 5 minutes down the road.
Not very good. How do you run out of bacon at a breakfast place? Also, plastic cutlery. No offer of breakfast potatoes on menu Would not go back
A super cute spot with the very best breakfast sandwiches we've ever had - exceptional!
Great food, great coffee, awesome service. Very friemdly!
We just stopped in to get coffee and enjoy the views of beautiful Lake Minnehonk. The cafe is quaint, the coffee was good, and the food looked great. We'll have to come back for a meal. It's also across the street from the fascinating Whittier Grist Mill that was built in the late 1700s.
Fantastic breakfast burrito. Great baked goodies! Friendly staff. One tiny drawback ... plastic cuttelry.
Cute place with friendly staff! Be patient and enjoy your company: the food takes a bit - but it’s worth it.
Southwest club taste great and fresh
Small place in the middle of nowhere, but my wife just had to try this place. We timed it wrong and hit the breakfast hours instead of lunch menu hours, but weren't disappointed. She wanted to try the sandwiches, but settled for a breakfast bagel. Now that bagel was huge and awesome, she loved it. I had stuffed French toast and an egg scramble. Everything was terrific. The service was good and the staff was friendly. We were looking for quaint places to bring visiting guests when they come up here, and this place certainly made the list.
it's a great place to relax for lunch or breakfast

VERY disappointed. Tried to go for lunch on a long weekend. Arrived 40 minutes before they were set to close (1:50pm) and was turned away. They offered us coffee only, and rudely let us know the kitchen was closed as if we were inconveniencing them by trying to buy lunch and should have known better… The menu posted on the counter clearly displays “lunch served until 2:30pm”. Rude and very unfriendly staff, sadly will not be returning.
One of the best omelets I have ever had . Staff was friendly and not really overpriced at all.
I went here for lunch with my mom and sisters while we were visiting for family vacation and we had a very bad experience. The food was subpar, and 30 minutes before close, the cashier barked at us to leave. We asked if we the close time had changed, and the cashier wouldn’t make eye contact and said they all had places to be and were closing early. I’ve never been spoken to like that and it was incredibly disrespectful.
Great out of the way place. Mount Vernon is a beautiful little town.Worth the drive
I really hate writing bad reviews. I just don't feel good about it, because no one is perfect all the time. That being said, my boyfriend and I went out for breakfast at the Olde Post Office Cafe this morning, and they served him his breakfast sandwich on a moldy English muffin. There was a spot of blue mold the size of a quarter right on the outside in plain site. My boyfriend works in food service, so he refuses to complain no matter how bad the food or service is, but he did let the woman who took our order know about the mold, in case they had any other moldy English muffins in the kitchen. She responded that she was sorry... then walked away. A few minutes later she came back (prompted by the manager or owner) and asked us if she could get us another sandwich or anything else. My boyfriend said no, not to worry about it, because he's too nice. His breakfast sandwich was inedible, the fact that they let us walk out of there having paid for it, is absolutely appalling to me. The owner even came over as we were getting ready to leave and put a little flower on our table and said nothing about the moldy breakfast sandwich, didn't even offer an apology. I'm so disappointed, because the cafe is in such a lovely spot and I really really wanted to like it, but I don't see us ever going back after the experience we had... some smaller things that really irritated me; the silverware was plastic, individually wrapped in plastic, they served my mimosa in a plastic cup, and the spinach omelette I ordered was filled with an obscene amount of bland, unappetizing spinach. The sun dried tomatoes where all clustered in one small corner of the omelette and they were hard and flavorless. I used to get better omelettes at my university cafeteria. It's just so upsetting that if you want to live in a beautiful, quiet corner of Maine you have to sacrifice eating quality food... especially for the prices, which are very high... $9 for a little mimosa in a plastic cup? Ugh.
