Stopped by here after a (failed) excursion (too windy) on Long Pong and grabbed some coffee and a donut. Obviously a long standing hub of the community, this place is a gem. From lake memorabilia, to gas, booze, sandwiches, and more, if they don’t have it, you probably don’t need it.
This is a general store in a tourist destination. The parking lot is tiny but adequate. The store carries the mandatory sweatshirts, hats, bumper stickers, and the like. There is a lunch counter where you can get pizza, sandwiches, and the like. Where the store really shines is in the grocery department which walks the line between convenience store and upscale. This small piece of history is such a cute place. They carry a nice variety of grocery items. They also have great pizza and a nice meat/deli section! There is even a small section of nice items like sweatshirts, mugs, etc. Day's store has been a favorite of mine for over 40 years ! Staff is alway very friendly and helpful !
