We just stopped in to get coffee and enjoy the views of beautiful Lake Minnehonk. The cafe is quaint, the coffee was good, and the food looked great. We'll have to come back for a meal. It's also across the street from the fascinating Whittier Grist Mill that was built in the late 1700s.
Small place in the middle of nowhere, but my wife just had to try this place. We timed it wrong and hit the breakfast hours instead of lunch menu hours, but weren't disappointed. She wanted to try the sandwiches, but settled for a breakfast bagel. Now that bagel was huge and awesome, she loved it. I had stuffed French toast and an egg scramble. Everything was terrific. The service was good and the staff was friendly.We were looking for quaint places to bring visiting guests...
JUST A VERY SIMPLE EATING SPOT! GREAT VIEWS OF THE LAKE AND HILLS. SEEMED MOST OF WHAT WE HAD WAS COOKED TO ORDER. SEVERAL PANS GOING ON THE STOVE . BAKED GOODS LOOKED GREAT BUNCH TO PICK FROM! WE DID BREAKFAST SO NEXT TIME LUNCH! ROMANTIC HIDE AWAY. SIT BY THE LAKE ,THE SCREENED PORCH OR INSIDE. STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND OUT GOING! COFFEE AND A SCONE IF PASSING BYE AND FEELING PECKISH!
