The service was good. We showed up at 4:30ish on a Friday without a reservation. The bar was more than half full. There were 4 tables seated. They talked a bunch about where we would sit, but quickly chose a table. (When we left it had certainly picked up, but half the tables were still empty.) The waitress was super friendly. The table to my left had just gotten drinks as we were seated. Ordered their food, ate, and were readying their bill by the time our food arrived. The table to my right sat at least 10 minutes AFTER us. They got their drinks, their appetizers and their mains before we got any food. No worries. I understand some dishes take longer. I ordered the Cod Puttanesca. There are many ways to poach fish. Even just a touch of salt would have been nice. The homemade pasta was barely cooked. Not al dente, but the rubbery hard of fresh pasta that never got the chance to float. There was no sauce. Nothing stuck. It was simply bland poached cod, under cooked pasta and olives, capers and tomatoes with a couple of fresh basil leaves. No real seasoning. My husband got the Pork Loin Risotto. The pork also lacked any seasoning. The risotto felt like it was cooked in water and creamed cheese rather than broth and parmigiano. It had no real flavor at all. Even more bland than the Puttanesca. I always prefer farm to table, but this one was lacking. Even just a touch of salt would have been better than what we experienced. The drinks were spectacular! And the space is well done.

We have been here many times and love it! Their winter & spring menus are always our favorite. We had Renee this time and she was absolutely wonderful!! We were also here over Valentine’s Day 2025 and they had this GREAT carrot juice margarita that we hope will make an appearance in 2026! :)

I love this place first of all. We had 5:30 reservations . When we got there the hostess told us our table had 7:00 reservations but we should be good. Just thought humm ok😳 we had drinks and mussels as an app were delicious. My entree was pork tenderloin over risotto, came out cold but is still was delicious the other meal was hot and good. My fault for not sending it back but thought for times sake I better not Love the place very busy which I like for the restaraunt.

My score is based on the price: Nothing “blew me away”. For the price and for how many dishes we ordered I should be blown away by something! If you’re going to charge that much then be ready for high expectations and honest criticism. Playing should be artistic and refined. 10$ for a hunk of focaccia bread that’s not warm is embarrassing. It was good fresh food. Was it Leeward? Scales? Eventide? Not even close. But it charges like it’s better. Mussels were the best thing I had. Entree which I was told was the best on the menu was a 6/10 (for the price). Lastly, I usually tip 30-50% depending on the evening and the server. But I noticed they had forced me to tip 25% which is high for a minimum gratuity. What if I thought the service was average but had to tip 25% anyway? Again this was not refined, elevated, fine dining.
Amazing and creative from scratch, farm to table fresh food, homemade desserts, worth the visit and price. Fabulous attentive service. I’m now a regular before this place gets so well known and wins many foodie awards. Make a reservation and come in to enjoy a meal that is consistently incredible.
