Surprisingly good food! The pizza was great and hubby thought the fish and chips was the best he'd ever had. Also, our server was on the ball and pleasant. The atmosphere was super fun too, with live music.

I’ve been going to the Matterhorn for about a decade now—it’s the go-to spot for food, drinks, and live music after a day at Sunday River. This past weekend, a couple of buddies and I Ubered there no problem… but getting back? Different story. No Ubers, no cabs, just three guys stranded in the cold, contemplating a long, sad walk.
Enter Eric—the legend, and one of the security guards. He gave us a few cab numbers, but when those didn’t pan out, he went full hero mode and personally drove us home. Oh, and did I mention? He’s also a firefighter. So yeah, literally a lifesaver.

Very interesting atmosphere….but that’s it. The waitstaff was nice but the food horrible. First our water came with straws that had no paper on them (who touched these?) next our $33.50 Avalanche nachos were horrible. Bad tasting corn chips that had been squished down. At least the cheese wasn’t Velveeta but the preformed chicken bits were a turn off. HOW can you cheap out on a bar food?!! Plus the place seemed dirty…..you know, sticky tables

Stopped in to order a 12" pizza to go and a drink while waiting. Cheese, olive, sausage, onion pizza. How much could it possibly cost $20? $25? Nope try $32!!! Two tall vodka (not top shelf) soda's $42!!! Waiting for the pizza looked at their menu, their 12" gourmet pizza's listed at $24. Went to the counter and asked why so much more for less toppings. First she says "I didn't write the menu". I say I know that, I'm simply asking where the $32 came from? She's snotilly says "well each topping on a custom pizza is $3.50!!" I say "you know the menu and you couldn't have pointed that out??" I never mind paying more if the quality and experience are worth it. But the pizza, attitude and experience sucked!! Obviously a tourist trap where they are happy to take advantage of the unsuspecting traveler. Many other choices don't waste my time or $ there again

Great restaurant to come to after a long day of skiing! The vibe here is really cool, and they also have live music! Food here is good, but pricey for what you get. The waitress was friendly and attentive. They also have an arcade with a couple of games! The spinach and artichoke dip came out fast and hot! I would definitely recommend the pizzas and burgers, fish was good too. The desserts are yummy as well! Definitely worth a visit!

We were disappointed in this meal, even though the restaurant has been one of our favorites over the years. The food was good, but much pricier than we were expecting, and the atmosphere remains a great draw, pure funky ski bar. But we felt we were not treated well by our server and that can make a big difference. It was very cold at our table, and our questions about this problem just brought sarcasm from our server. My husband's favorite appetizer was not on the menu and the server claimed it had never been offered "in years". Other shortcomings will probably sound petty but when you are cold and already sorry about your choice of where to eat, they seemed like a big deal.
The portions were huge. I’d rather have slightly cheaper prices for less food. 4 people couldn’t finish the nachos, and that was the only thing we got.

When we placed our name they said about an hour for a party of seven. We were surprised when we only waited a half hour. We ordered four pizzas, nachos, fish and chips and a kids meal. Everyone was friendly and service was fast. Live music was fun and interacted with the kids. The fish and chips was a generous portion. Pizzas were very cheesy and excellent flavor. The nachos were heaping! Great place!

Good food good service a little expensive but comparable to the other places in the area on price. I go out to eat on vacation to enjoy the company of family and friends. It aggravates me to have to talk over live music playing louder than the conversations.
