“When we placed our name they said about an hour for a party of seven. We were surprised when we only waited a half hour. We ordered four pizzas, nachos, fish and chips and a kids meal. Everyone was friendly and service was fast. Live music was fun and interacted with the kids. The fish and chips was a generous portion. Pizzas were very cheesy and excellent flavor. The nachos were heaping! Great place!Kid-friendliness: Kids menu was great and my child enjoyed the hot dog!”
“I love all the gluten free options they offer!! I just had a smores bar that was delicious! So nice to go to a fair and find foods I can enjoy with my dietary restrictions!”
“I ate the leftovers tonight and they were just as delicious. No cannoli though, I know your thinking I should have got one to go but it would have never survived the trip home. ”
“What a comfy lodge! It has food and drinks, bathrooms and heat. I had a chicken burrito bowls here. It was delicious. The amount of food was far from expectation. It could share with other person.”
“What a great place. Friendly, good variety and very helpful when trying to find some local ‘beverages’ to sit by the pool with. If staying Grand Summit Hotel it is right down the street, perfect for those must have grocery items and large selection of beverages. They also serve food such as pizza and subs for the days you don’t want to cook.”
“This is one of my happy places! Get the ribeye grilled cheese sandwich…my goodness! Great local beer selection. Can get loud/lively inside on a packed day…and the decor is a little normal, but it’s a bar, not a museum. Has an expansive bar seating and quick, friendly service. Love posting up on the sunny porch with the views of the slopes. If it’s too much with the crowds you can always relocate the group around the corner in the lodge area.Kid-friendliness: They serve french fries!”
“I've tried a lot of the other places (but not all) on the Sunday River campus, and I have to say this place was the first place to be priced well.I felt like paying $25 for a massive bowl of rich Mac n cheese with buffalo chicken was very worth it.The beers are all $9+, but I definitely recommend the Barker 6 amber ale.The only quirks about this place is that you have to seat yourself, and go up to the bar to order food and drinks. They will still bring the food to your table. It's also maybe a 5min walk from the South Ridge lodge. If you can get over the quirks, then I believe you'll have a great time and a delicious meal!”
“First time skiing out of Barker because South was closed from the flooding. Great lodge! Love the older cozy feel! Barker Lounge was really nice, and cool bartenders!”
“If you're skiing and get off at North Peak, definitely come in here for a bite to eat! They have everything from chili to fries dough pizza! The food tastes really good and fresh too! The peanut butter cookie is very tasty as well. The chilli was hot and delicious! The views alone are worth the visit alone!Parking: Plenty of spots to park your skis!”
“Our family has been to Sliders for Italian dinner a few times and we have had a great experience each time. Every person in our group thought the food & drinks were great, in a mountainside friendly atmosphere. We brought our 3 and 1 year old and felt well accommodated by the staff.”
“Ate dinner here last night and I was very impressed. Our server was fantastic! Our food came quick and was delicious. We had the meatballs, scallops and brussels sprouts as an appetizer. My kids loved their chicken fingers and fries and they asked if we could come back (high praise!!). I wish they would make an entree with the gnocchi that came with the scallops, best I ever had! Definitely recommend. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.”
“I think what they do best is appetizers. I had the egg dish before the pho and I was sorely disappointed with the pho broth after the eggs. In hindsight I should have just combined the dishes. The short rib is cooked well and a decent amount but doesn't make up for the broth. They make delicious drinks too.”
“Ah, the Gemini Cafe in Bethel, Maine – it's a cozy spot that's become a bit of a local staple. Walking in, you're greeted by an atmosphere that's casual and comfortable, with a decor that blends rustic charm with a few modern touches. It's pretty much what you'd hope for in a small-town cafe. The coffee? Solid. They've got a decent selection that'll satisfy most coffee lovers, from your straightforward black coffee to more elaborate concoctions. And while the baristas might not be pulling off latte art that'll go viral on Instagram, they're friendly and get your order right, which is what really matters at the end of the day.Food-wise, the pastries are a highlight. Not exactly groundbreaking, but reliably good – think classic cinnamon rolls and muffins that hit the spot, especially on those brisk Maine mornings. The menu isn't vast, but it's got enough variety to keep you coming back to try something new or stick with your usual. What makes Gemini Cafe really stand out, though, isn't just the food or drink, but the sense of community. It's the kind of place where you'll run into neighbors and catch up on local happenings. The vibe is laid-back, making it a nice little retreat whether you're looking to kickstart your morning or unwind in the afternoon. So, if you're in Bethel and in need of a coffee fix or just a place to chill for a bit, Gemini Cafe is worth checking out. It might not be the fanciest place around, but it's got heart, and sometimes, that's just what you need.”
“The food is amazing. I always want to take a picture but every time it comes out I eat too fast! The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive and it is always very clean. This place is awesome.Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options. A beyond burger which is vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: People there were ordering gluten free options.Parking: Right outside the store, a big space with plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: It is an ice cream shop, of course it is kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp for wheelchairs, very accessible.”
“First time at the Watershed and we felt like family from the moment we walked in. We were greeted cheerfully and seated promptly by the Tom, the owner. His wife Vicky, the chef, designed a fantastic menu. We enjoyed our appetizer of Raclette, delicious with house made focaccia. Our food came out hot and quickly. Janet, our server, was courteous and very attentive. We ordered the seasonal ravioli, which was mushroom and delicious. Our son had the special of sausage and meatballs over rigatoni. It tasted great, as if my Italian momma made it!The cannoli for dessert couldn’t be better. Pistachio encrusted and not too sweet. Wine selection complimented the meal nicely. Reasonably priced.”
“Husband and I had dinner here on Saturday night. They do not take reservations but they do have a call ahead system which I highly recommend as there is not a lot of room to wait. When we arrived we had 10-15 til our table was ready and we spent it hanging at the bar. We were thoroughly impressed with the mixologist behind the bar. She certainly was making some delicious concoctions, I got the carrot cake, Once we were sat, our waitress came over, I told her I had allergies, her response was not one of somebody that was pleased in hearing this. However, she said that they could make modifications. What I will say is that the items I ordered were absolutely delicious, the food was delicious! I started with the squash curry soup my husband had the Caesar and we both had the duck tacos. I highly recommend the food here. The atmosphere is of a quaint homelike space. I recommend.”
“Best fries I've ever had. Not joking around. Perfectly fried and seasoned crinkle-cut fries. Burgers were excellent. The place has a very relaxed, ski town vibe, and the service was great. Ben was kind and knowledgeable. Would come back any day!”
“For those who were around when this was the Rooster, this is still your place. This was and still is my favorite restaurant in this area. A must visit for any skier or visitor. As a first time visitor to the new restaurant, I was hopeful. In reality, it was a lot better than I expected. Everything we had was really great, Honey Maple salmon was awesome, and just as great: the crispy potato wedges. Pretzel app, homemade dessert special were also superb. Shout out for uplifting and hard working servers too. Quality and prices are some of the best in the area. Can't wait to visit again.Kid-friendliness: Cool arcade on first floor”
“Great food and fantastic selection of homemade food to eat in or to take home. Really friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this little place on the river if you're in the area.”
“Being from NY/NJ I am really fussy about bagels. The bagels at DiCocoa’s are as good or better than any bagels I have had ANYWHERE!If you are anywhere near Bethel don’t miss this.”
“Look no further for artisanal bread! Whole grain sourdough, naturally leavened, local organic ingredients, what's not to love? And the taste! Omg to die for ??”
“LOVE this place! The wings and clam chowder were amazing. Environment is so laid back and chill. Staff is very friendly and serviceable. They have live music on weekends which is also pretty cool! Definitely a good spot for some drinks and music on a Friday or Saturday night.”
“Awesome experience! Happy to be there on their one year anniversary/ birthday! Had a shake with collagen and it was AMAZING! Excellent customer service the owners helped me with the menu—definitely something for everyone!”
“Had a late lunch after skiing, and we loved it. The burgers were great and their odd looking fries were also delicious. Of course the beer was pretty good as well. Staff was friendly and responsive. Highly recommended.”
“Was very busy on a Saturday night. We were able to be seated right away, though. The fried steam dumplings are amazing, especially the ginger sauce. Will definitely be coming back. Prices are very fair, ”
“Myself and three other friends went to modern barn without a reservation on a Thursday night. There was a handful of tables but not overly packed, the cocktails were delicious and definitely made with love and we all really enjoyed our meals. Would certainly come back.”
“The food was good, the service was great, and overall it was a good experience. The 2 things that upset me was that the bathrooms and the grounds were a bit dirty. Also it was a bit pricey. Overall I recommend this restaurant!”
“Went for a sleigh ride at the attached hotel and decided to reserve a table for afterwards. Great decision. Atmosphere was warm and inviting. Service was excellent. Everyone loved their food. One of us had the fillet and it was delicious and cooked perfectly. The side dishes were great. I had the duck pot pie...it was awesome and again, perfectly cooked!!! We also had delicious fish and chips and a large, hearty entree salad. Highly recomended.”
“The smell of the wood smoker was amazing and added to the cozy atmosphere. Although I had to stand outside in the cold to wait my turn to order, the food made it well worth the wait! My favorites were the smoked hot links and corn bread. I only wish they served old-fashioned baked mac and cheese as a side! That would make a meal like this incredible!”
“We had a blast after a great weekend of skiing at Sunday river! Live music was off the chart the food was great and the service was very friendly and Timely. Great craft beer selection. Outdoor bar service with fire pit was the perfect way to end our ”
