Next to the peak lodge there is a lovely restaurant with a big bar and high quality food! Very nice cozy vibe and the ricotta toast was insanely good. They take reservations!
Great spot - lobster stew 6 stars
What a comfy lodge! It has food and drinks, bathrooms and heat. I had a chicken burrito bowls here. It was delicious. The amount of food was far from expectation. It could share with other person.

What a great spot, especially for a cold beer on a spring skiing day. Hard to believe early March is spring skiing but that's what we're seeing in 2024. We had a last-minute reservation and showed up a little early. Thankfully there was a table outside as inside was incredibly loud. We had some beer, some ahi tuna, and a pork sandwich. All great (though the pork sandwich too spicy for our taste). Great presentation and fun vibe!
Always a treat! Excellent food and perfect friendly service. Our server even accommodated our 10 year old guest for whom the menu was a bit over the top! She was amazed to realize all they have to do to get the food and staff up the hill. Love it and can't wait to be back.
Had to sit at the side bar today which gets a bit crowded and bumped but still... the noshing board combined with the lobster stew and an Alagash made for a great mid day break. Best on the Mountain.
Great! Good vibes, outstanding food, could use a better beer list, too many ipa type beers and more larger / pils would be welcome by some of us but other than that very cool space and product !
Cramped, crowded, nightclub loud, (with terrible music). Wedge salad was swimming in dressing (prefer straight up crumbles), messy and hard crust baguette veg sandwich served on gross wood board. This place is one and done.
Always a treat to visit the Mountain Room when we can score a reservation. Loud, lively, and the best food around... We never skip the beet & greens salad or the toasts (oxtail or rillettes). Prosecco on tap and a great beer selection. If you're going to cheat on dry January, this is the place to do it...

Love to stop here when I go on skiing trips! Great place to relax/take a break from skiing and get a beer & bite to eat!
Great staff
I tried all ski season to get into this place and finally did and loved it. Great tuna, toasts, and tacos. Nice beer selection. Saw someone drinking a cocktail and realized they don't have a cocktail menu — and should. Only downfall is they're only open until 3:00.
Sunday River is our home mountain and we often go to the Mountain Room for drinks. I do recommend it for a beer. It can get quite crowded, but it has a fun atmosphere both inside and out. We especially enjoy having a beer outside on the deck. My issue is with the food, however. This past weekend, we had a group come up to the mountain and decided to get food at the Mountain Room for lunch. I was less than impressed. The food was good, but the sizing/pricing was honestly ridiculous. The 'entrees' can't even be called that. It was $18 for a single, small taco (pictured). The grilled cheese and tomato soup ($15) came with a small, not completely filled, single glass of soup and the grilled cheese was made with such small slices of ciabatta that if you put two sandwiches together, they might be the size of a standard sandwich. I understand that things are often more expensive on the mountain and was prepared for that when I ordered, but that every person in our group left a decently expensive lunch still hungry is unimpressive to say the least. I will return for a beer only and not get food again.
Lovely ambiance and food. service a bit slow but they are going like a house on fire!
