We just had a wonderful meal at Trudy Birds. The atmosphere, wait staff, food, and experience were all amazing. So glad to have discovered this great spot!
The food was very creative and delicious. Using Scandinavian basics in an unusual way. A bit expensive but nice for something different. Our waiter was very friendly too.
Trudy Bird’s was an absolute delight on our vacation. Our waitress Alison took time to answer all of our questions and make sure we got something we liked. We loved the gravlax and frikadeller with aebleskivers for dessert!
Trudy Bird's Ølbar is a standout gem in the Portland area, offering a unique dining experience. The cozy interior and welcoming staff create a lovely atmosphere to enjoy delicious Scandinavian fare. The Æbelskivers are a must-try, showcasing the intersection of fine dining and comfort food. The Aquavit cocktails and open-faced sandwiches are highly recommended, along with the shaved brussel sprout salad. Chef Alan's Restaurant Week Prix-Fix menu features highlights like the Roasted Corn Bisque and a nice range of Aquavit to sample. Fresh, creative, and definitely worth a return visit.
