Absolutely amazing food and service. The pear and goat cheese salad is to die for and one of the best salads I ever had! My scallop entree and drink were also very tasty and flavorful. Will definitely return to this gem when we make another trip to Ogunquit.

Driving down the Maine coast line we decided to stop in Ogunquit to see the town and wander about. The Old Village Inn was just an average Inn to spend the night. No breakfast is available, but there is the Village Market a few steps away that served coffee and breakfast.

The rooms sit about the bar and restaurant so the noise level is very high until closing time around 10 pm. We were on the second floor with a room above us letting us hear the walking and moving about upstairs.

The room was compact with a king size bed and a small bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. The Wifi is really weak, maybe getting 2 bars most of the time.

Overall, not a bad spot to spend the night for the $107 we spent.

Had dinner at the “Old Village Inn”, Ogunquit, Maine tonight. Has lost the “feeling” of past time for sure!! Had a cocktail at the bar before dinner. Bar tender all business.. waiting for “regulars” who order dinner at the bar and their tip for sure. Dinner was OK… not outstanding. New decor but surely not the “feel” or food to return for in the past.

This unassuming restaurant blends into the facade of the other buildings but its far more interesting and delightful inside. From the sophisticated bar area and cozy fireplace setting, the dining room is open and airy. Its comfortable and tastefully designed. The service was friendly and casual, like dining at a friend’s house. The drinks perfect and the dishes superb with great portions, flavorful, and balanced. Absolutely loved it!!

My family absolutely adored the Old Village Inn under previous ownership. It was quaint, maybe a little outdated, but the staff was always pleasant, food was amazing at the restaurant and you can't beat that location for an overnight stay.
Unfortunately, we are less than impressed with new ownership. When attempting to use a gift certificate given to us shortly before the ownership change, we were told the gift certificates would not be honored. This was after multiple phone calls to ask about this, and never receiving phone calls back. At one point we were told to email a copy of the gift certificate to the owner (it was a paper certificate) but that email was also not returned.
When doing research, we found that gift certificates in Maine can have no expiry, and most cases would be a deferred liability during the sale of a business that usually is honored as a good business practice. No such luck here. We are actually very disappointed in this, as many of our family and friends loved spending weekends here. We will have to look for another spot to call our home away from home from now on (too bad we're out $1000 though)

This review is for the restaurant. The service and food were outstanding. Even though it was a Monday, we had a special birthday dinner in their lovely restaurant. We had no idea they had such a great bar there too so next time we will go to the bar for a cocktail first. It was another wonderful experience in Ogunquit.

We use to love this place but now they have a very small menu with few dishes that appealed to me. The old menu was so much better. We won't be going back.

We had such a brilliant time at The Old Village Inn in Bembridge. The menu has a fantastic range of proper pub favourites and every dish we tried was absolutely spot on – generous portions and full of flavour. Andy and his staff couldn’t have been more friendly or welcoming, creating a lovely relaxed vibe throughout. The atmosphere is just perfect – warm, buzzing, and full of character. A real gem of a pub that we’ll definitely be coming back to! Lots of love from the thick as folk on table 15

We were very disappointed. We have dined there whenever visiting Ogunquit. We were surprised to see the total change as was remodeled. Lost its old world charm. Servers were friendly but food was less than up to par. The spicey cucumber salad consisted of large hunks of unpeeled cucumbers with little to no dressing. We then waited a very long time for entre and my chicken picata arrived burned. Sad, as we looked forward to dining there.

Ogunquit's finest downtown Inn...

Nice restaurant, lovely interior. I haven’t been to the old one so I can’t compare to that. The lobster and grits were great.

Feels classy enough for a date. Not great for kids or families — they certainly will make an effort to accommodate food for kids based off whatever is available in the kitchen, but if you have picky kids in your party you may have an easier time somewhere else.

We had an amazing dinner at OVI during our vacation last week. Never having tried OVI in the past, we were enticed by its new management, recent renovation, and hearing the chef from the now closed Northern Union (best restaurant last year) was now there. We were blown away with the menu options and how good the food was! If it hadn’t been our last night in town we would have returned again. This is a must go place for a great dinner. Our bar staff (as we love sitting at the bar) were great, and Jessica is always our favorite!
