My Wife and I had dinner there last night. A completely new experience as it appears they have new management. We both had the lobster risotto and it was absolutely fantastic. The wait staff was courteous and very charming. We will definitely be back as it is now a must dine at location.

They overcharged my credit card for the reservation. They were only supposed to charge for one night and charged me for the entire 3 night stay which wasn't happening until 2 months later. When I called about it, they admitted the error but refused to issue the refund, so I canceled the reservation, still more than a month in advance, and they charged me a $25 cancelation fee for the privilege of getting jerked around by them.

Food was good, atmosphere was nice, however we will not return. The chef controls the pace of the meal, our mains landed while we were working on salad. Not acceptable, place was empty. Leaving $150 before tip on the table and feeling like we were rushed doesn’t work for us. Romantic dinner out fail, sorry

I had probably one of the best dinners of my life here in mid July 2024. Four of us came in a same-day reservation on a Monday evening.
We started with the “haunted room #2” which is basically a spicy margarita. The presentation is so cool, in a smoky box. Absolutely delicious. We started with a crab cake, and a tostada andaluza. The crab cake was super fresh, and the bread and tomatoes was equally as good. I appreciate the international flair to the menu.
My main was the halibut special in the pomodoro sauce. It was equisite; flaky, well seasoned and perfectly cooked.
The others at my table all ordered the schnitzel, which they enjoyed.
Service was excellent, drinks were excellent, and food was excellent.
Don’t come, you will hate it.

The Old Village Inn is an absolute Ogunquit gem! This is our 10th year doing a girls trip to this amazing beach town, and there's so many restaurants to choose from...but this is an absolute must! We had the pleasure of chatting with one of the new owners Jacob, and it is obvious he has a passion for cultivating an amazing experience for his guests. The cocktails are intentional, fresh and unique, especially the "haunted room #2" that is presented in a fog-filled treasure box! The quality of food and presentation is nothing short of exceptional. Located right in the heart of the charming town, do not walk by what is sure to be a sensational experience.

We always had enjoyed the entire dining experience at OVI. The owners and waitstaff were like family. We will miss them. However, last evening we experienced an entirely new faire. The wait staff was extremely attentive and from an appetizer to a main dish it was superb ?. As Arnold would say, "We will be back" Excellent dining experience ! 5 Stars from us !

My wife and I ate here about 6 months ago and everything was delicious. Outstanding. We came back in June and it was under new ownership and nothing was the same. Was kind of a disappointment to us. Restaurant seem chaotic with all the staff walking around with only just a few tables filled.
All of the food was amazing, but the Lobster Risotto really stood out! The whole team there was very friendly and attentive, highly recommended.

We were deeply saddened to learn of the impending changes of management. We are loyal customers and very regular diners who look forward to dining at our absolute favorite restaurant each week. We have had a Friday or Saturday night reservation for years. Our family has a fondness to dine and celebrate together while visiting Maine at OVI. We value the menu, the impeccable staff and the ambiance of The Old Village Inn. We appreciate its historic importance and certainly hope the future leadership embraces all that OVI has meant to the community thru charities and partnerships, and doesn't turn it into another cookie cutter establishment. Kudos to OVI!!
