Thoroughly enjoyed the meal there. Host Angelina and waiter Dani are awesome and food were very good. Highly recommended! They close on Tuesday 11/12 for the season and will see you when you reopen in March. ---

The food is undeniably upscale, but with modest pricing. Combine that with an incredible atmosphere, and it’s no wonder this is one of our favorite restaurants in southern Maine.

We were in York for a couple of nights and decided to try The Front Yard. I was a bit disappointed in the selection of pastas, they all seemed to be really buttery or creamy, and it was a limited selection. I opted for the sautéed Maine lobster, jumbo shrimp served with pappardelle pasta in vodka sauce. The seafood was very good and cooked to perfection, but the vodka sauce was really heavy- too creamy. I felt like I ate a half gallon of ice cream. It was good but I think a lighter sauce would have made the dish much better.

We were a party of five that went here pre-show. Our server was very nice and worked with my son, who has a dairy allergy, to get him a dish he could enjoy. The brussel sprouts were very good. The food was all well prepared and had a nice amount of flavor. Nothing on the dessert menu caught our fancy, so we went to an ice cream stand down the road. We would definitely visit this restaurant again when we are in the area.

The food was the best we had in the area. Our waiter, however was rude, didn't tell us about specials, didn't refill drinks (we had to ask for refills), didn't offer a dessert menu and generally seemed annoyed to do his job. I asked for recommendations between 2 dishes I was torn between and he said "order what you're in the mood to eat I guess."
However, the young lady waiting on the group of tables behind us was 100% better. She was personable, went over the menu and specials with her tables and always offered recommendations when asked. Wish we'd had her instead of Grumpy. However, the food was impeccable. I had the seafood risotto and my friend had a garlic shrimp linguine. We were both very satisfied with the food.
