$26 for two coffees, a bagel sandwich and Egg White sandwich on toast. Waited a while for the food. They forgot to make one coffee but overall not a bad place to go to stop for breakfast on the go.

I stopped by this café on a quiet Saturday morning, and it turned out to be the worst service I’ve ever had. The place wasn’t busy at all—just maybe one or two people ahead of me when I ordered a breakfast sandwich and added a tip with cash. But I ended up standing there waiting for over 20 minutes, watching as only two or three more folks came in after me, got their orders right away, and left.
Finally, I asked what was going on, and the girl behind the counter looked totally lost, saying she thought she wrote it down but then just stood there with no idea how to fix it. When I got frustrated and asked for my money back, she even asked if I used a card, even though I’d said cash from the start. The whole time, almost 30 minutes, I was right there at the counter—a tall Native American guy who stands out in a small spot like that, especially around a bunch of older white customers. I stayed patient while they messed around, petting regulars’ dogs, eating their own stuff, and doing whatever, but they acted like I wasn’t even there. They didn’t check on me, didn’t ask if I needed anything, and just plain forgot I ordered. It’s like they couldn’t care less about a nice customer who tipped and was standing right in front of them.
No sorry came out of anyone’s mouth, no effort to make it right—just people staring as things got awkward. In the end, I told them to keep the money since they couldn’t bother to remember or write down my order, and I walked out with nothing. It felt weird, like I wasn’t welcome or treated the same as everyone else, maybe because I didn’t fit in with the regulars. If they’re that oblivious to someone ordering and waiting forever when there’s hardly anyone else around, I’d be worried about wasting my time there. Don’t go if you want decent service—it’s not worth it. The bagels are ok everything else is microwaved or reheated crap.

Beach Bagels is a small breakfast/lunch restaurant. They have Green Mountain coffee. They also have only gluten free bagels (no toast). The breakfast is good.

I believe this place needs to get their work ethic and customer service and listening ears back into perspective. If I could give this place a zero I would. I ordered a turkey sausage, cheddar and egg on a plain bagel and received turkey meat, I floppy egg and lazy slice of white cheese — cheddar is yellow. Food is lukewarm. Disgraceful place and misleading — go to cafe 69 across the street you’re better off. Thanks for making a visit to your state so welcoming.

The staff were friendly & greeted me with a smile even though they were super busy. Latte was delish but that everything bagel was exactly what I wanted - toasty but perfectly chewy. Nailed it on the cream cheese. Must try! Seating is limited but the walk down a block to some tables was gorgeous.

I think the name is misleading because they offer much more than bagels, which were very average actually. The pastries looked delicious and I may go back and give them a try. Service and price were both great.

Came for the bagels, which were nothing to write home about. I much prefer our bagel shop in Bangor which has some of the best bagels I’ve ever tasted! So if you head towards Acadia next, stop in Bangor for a bagel at Bagel Central instead

Enjoyed a good omelet and bagel along with a generous cup of coffee in a quaint cafe during a quiet October morning. Very appreciate the service friendly staff and glad they were open. Once of the few during the early off-season.

I was on the hunt for a jersey style Bagel which is hard to find unless you're in Jersey but this came pretty close the food was pretty darn good with a laid-back Cafe style atmosphere.

Always a great whole wheat with everything. A super place to get together with friends and enjoy the picnic tables with shade and comfy chairs. I also love the sesame bagel toasted with butter or the egg with bagel. They have a nice bathroom for customers only. We meet here annually with friends.

Cute, warm local bagel place - has an assortment of bagels and baked goods. Also serves freshly made breakfasts. It was reasonably priced.

We did not eat here today. We were going to, but I was going to order an omelette and the sign said it had American cheese in it. I asked if I could have cheese that was not processed and the girl taking orders didn’t know what I meant, so she was going to ask. Then a rude lady behind the counter overheard and said all their cheese is processed. I said, there must be some unprocessed cheese here and I quietly whispered to my husband that they mustn’t know what I mean. The rude lady said “I DO know what you mean and all cheese is processed!!” She said this in a way that was meant to ridicule me and make me sound like my question was unreasonable. So we got out of line since I didn’t want to eat there (after being treated so rudely). Then, some guy in line chimes in and says “all cheese is processed”. I just politely said “you also don’t know what I’m talking about. Please look up what processed cheese is”.
So, for the rude lady that was insensitive to my dietary requirements, 1) you need to remember that I was a customer, about to pay money to eat at your restaurant, and I should have been treated with courtesy and 2) before you speak nonsense about all cheese being processed, please educate yourself. Processed cheese is not something you will find in most European countries, and seldom in Canada, but it seems in the USA most people don’t know about “natural” cheese versus “processed, artificial” cheese. Simply look it up online and you will see what exactly processed cheese is - I don’t eat those chemicals and emulsifiers and was merely asking for “real, dairy-only” cheese. It’s not an unreasonable question for a lot of people on particular (healthy) diets.

The cashier was very rude. She could not read her co-workers order slip and took it out on our party. BUT!!!!! The super sweet manager came outside and apologized for her cashiers ( who by the way is now unemployed) actions, also gave me 2 absolutely delicious muffins and a hug!!! Damn, that's customer service.
