Every time I go, I have a fantastic meal. This time I got the seafood stuffed haddock and shared a bowl of lobster stew. The haddock was moist, flavorful, buttery and huge. The lobster stew was a delicious bisque with meat of an entire lobster! The waitress was on point, the hostess was bubbly and attentive and the negroni was a fantastic cocktail for summer. And IYKYK about the fresh breadrolls, hot from the oven. I wish every restaurant in OOB was so professionally managed!...
I admit that I judged this book by its cover initially, but we decided to give it a try and were not disappointed. Our server Mike was so pleasant and engaging but not in an overbearing way-you can tell he enjoys working with people. The inside is quaint and inviting. An adorable bar. We got the mariners stew based on reviews and it was quite yummy. Flavorful and full of fresh seafood. It sounds silly, but the kids chicken fingers were probably some of the best chicken fingers...
I come specifically to Old Orchard Beach every year just to eat at The Bell Buoy. They serve the best seafood and are very closely located to the pier and beach. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but the lobster is a huge selling point. Friendly staff, great food, good service, and a mere walking distance from many of the other attractions. I cannot recommend this place enough, and hope it remains open forever.
