Hands down the most tender, juicy, and flavorful lobster I’ve ever had. Fresh, perfectly seasoned, and overflowing with sweet lobster meat. If you’re a seafood lover, this is the place you’ve been looking for. I’ll definitely be back — and bringing friends next time! 🦞🔥

I took 5 teenagers and myself to Johnny Shucks the other night. I was so happy we chose this place. The food was outstanding and the service was great. We got 5 lobster roll meals, one chicken tender meals and a cup of clam chowder. You can choose from lobster with butter or mayo. We got 4 with butter and one with mayo. The lobster was the freshest that I have had around! The clam chowder was perfect and thick. The service was friendly and helpful. I would recommend anyone who heads up this way to give them a try.

My wife and I had the lobster rolls with drawn butter. So good. Very friendly service. We will definitely go back again the next time we visit the Portland area.

The best lobster roll! So stuffed with meat the bread was falling apart. The lobster poutine was also delicious.

Our church youth group was visiting all the way from North Carolina, and we couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome than what we received at Johnny Shucks! We called Johnny at the last minute with a group of 22, and he made it happen with absolute grace and enthusiasm.

Johnny personally oversaw every detail, making sure our group was comfortable and well taken care of. The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and a true taste of Maine. His staff was friendly, attentive, and incredibly kind, making the entire experience feel like we were among friends.

What made the evening even more special was how Johnny helped us celebrate a 17th birthday for one of our group members, complete with a surprise cake! That extra touch of thoughtfulness meant so much to all of us.

If you’re ever in Old Orchard Beach, do not miss Johnny Shucks. Johnny and his team know how to make people feel at home, no matter how far you’ve traveled. Thank you, Johnny, for a night we’ll never forget!

That was the BEST experience of my life!!! we had a group of 22 people that they accommodated for, we also had a birthday in our group so the owner Johnny personally drove to get a cake for her and make her feel special. And had the sweetest staff! if i could give it 10 stars i would!

We tried the mayo lobster roll, butter lobster roll, and clam chowder. The lobster was fresh and tender and surprisingly great price compared to some of the places I’ve seen. Every single thing was delicious! The service was great and the location and atmosphere couldn’t be beat!
