They're trying hard to be an upscale restaurant in a sad and depressed town by the ocean. We had a good server, but we're greeted near our table with a group of 5 or 6 very inebriated women making a huge scene. I get it, they got drunk and are having dinner...but the staff didn't intervene once for the entirety of our dinner. The food was not good and overpriced. And there was carpet ...in a restaurant...in 2025?! 😑

We were staying in walking distance of Joseph's by the Sea so we decided to check it out. The wait and bar staff were wonderful. You could tell people enjoyed working there. We all had some seafood option and everyone's dish was amazing. Local beers on tap, great wine selection, with a full bar. The prices were much better than we were expecting. Would eat here again if in the area.

We visited here twice during our vacation. This restaurant was on our to do list the first night in town and literally every meal after that was compared to our experience at Joseph’s. So, on the last night of our vacation we decided that he had to go back. It was even better than the first time! Lucas was amazing as our server. He even explained to us Alabama girls how to crack and eat a full lobster. So we can honestly say that the: bread, truffle fries, salads, steak, lobster, chocolate cake, cheesecake, atmosphere, and service are all amazing. You cannot go wrong here.
Our favorite restaurant in OOB. Have always had an excellent time there. The food and service is always wonderful. Husband usually has the Korean BBQ tips but this time tried the pistachio crusted haddock and scallops and was very pleased. Always have coffee with our desserts. The coffee is the best.

We were in OOB for a few days and had no clue where to eat. We went to Joseph's for dinner. In fact we had such great cocktails and meals, we went back the 2nd evening.
I had Habanero Margarita- perfect!
Jackie had Pumpkin Pie Martini- perfect.
Wedge Salads were perfect, had both nights.
Delicious Fish and Chips.
Jackie loved her cooked perfect medium Filet Mignon.
The staff was fun and excellent.
Great views. Fantastic tables.
We will be back whenever in OOB.
Thank you, Joe and Jackie.

Went for Sunday brunch. Over an hour for French toast and eggs Benedict. Egg was hard boiled and both dishes were cold. We sat forgotten and no one seemed to care our food was awful and the wait was very long. The only excuse we were given was too many large parties ordering. No reason why our food had to come cold and poorly prepared. Do not recommend and if you are disappointed they really won’t care.

Walking in you're surrounded by beautiful decor, and comfortable seating while you wait for a table. We made reservations since it was a Friday night, which is probably recommended for weekends. It looked as though the wait was rather long otherwise. The seating area was comfortable, and lighting was dim, which made it cozy. The drinks we ordered, a sangria, and another drink. None of which were skimpy on the alcohol. We had the truffle fries and bread service to start. The truffle fries weren't great and I myself really didn't like them. The bread however was AMAZING! I ordered filet mignon, my husband ordered baked scallops and haddock, and my friend ordered the stuffed lobster. The stuffed lobster had a lot of breading, but otherwise she said it was really good. My husband's baked scallops and haddock was incredible. I wasn't super happy with my filet mignon. It was a little dry, however the mashed potatoes and gorgonzola glaze was very good. I liked the place over all. The service was great, and it would be a really nice place to go for a special occasion.

Visited on Oct.2nd 2024 at 6:30. I made the reservation online but was told i didn’t have a reservation but i had the confirmation email to show that i did and we were seated. Food was below average, hostess was nice. The bar tender was nice as well. But our waitress Michelle was awful. Just unpleasant and made the whole experience terrible. She was not personable at all and was extremely rude the whole night. The inside of the restaurant was nice and everyone beside Michelle that i spoke to was great. I don’t know how ,with her bad attitude, that she is employed in the anywhere in the field of hospitality.

Wow, what a beautiful evening we spent at Joseph’s by the sea. We were on the heated and quite warm terrace with a splendid view.
The calamari, pasta and halibut with the pistachio crisp were sublime.
Impeccable, almost perfect service from start to finish.
Bravo for this beautiful evening.
