We always make it to Joseph's by the Sea without fail yearly during our OOB vacation. Bonus that's it close to the house we rent. Great atmosphere inside and outside, delicious food and drinks, great service, and the best live music. Always a fun time!

Waitress remembered our dinner, appetizers and main course without writing it all down. Clean, upscale dining while the moon shone over the ocean.Parking: Tight but we found a spot by the entrance.

Josephs is an institution in OOB, but the food they are putting out is a severe disappointment. I’ve gone 3 times since it reopened after the fire and it’s lackluster at best. It’s like they are trying WAY too hard to serve elevated cuisine that isn’t any good. I got their salmon dish this time that came with a HUGE hunk of tough pork with it. What? Doesn’t even make sense. Barb and Scott should consider lowering the prices and serving good food. Make a great burger. Make a great salad. People will show up. What I will say is that they have great drinks and it’s worth going for a martini or a glass of wine on the rooftop but you’ll be better served going someplace else for affordable and delicious food.

Love, love, love this restaurant! What a great place to enjoy a nice drink and meal while looking at the beautiful ocean. The food is great and the service is very good. You won't be disappointed!!

Great food, service and location right on the beach. The restaurant was completely renovated after a kitchen fire a few years ago.

This is ocean front dining. Great atmosphere and delicious seafood. I've never had a bad service experience either.

Great all around experience "by the sea"!. One small issue for us was that there should be more Maine seafood items.

We stayed in Old Orchard for a long weekend (January’24). We were in luck that Joseph’s was still open in the “off season”.This restaurant is directly on the beach with wonderful ocean views. We had dinner on Thursday evening and Saturday evening. We had two different wait staff and each of them were wonderful. We felt right at home. They explained the menu and the options when ordering Lobster.Everything made our trip amazing! We will be back for sure!!!The pistachio martinis are out of this world

Stunning view from the patio. Brunch is super tasty and the staff are great. High end dining in OOB. Well worth the visit. Beware of going during the season as it will color your review. Off season- it is a must.

Recently I attended a luncheon at Joseph’s . I was very impressed and would highly recommend it for ANY function. It seems like it was designed just for that purpose. I believe there were approximately 100-125 people there and the way they had it set up , it didn’t seem crowded at all. Actually the set up of the tables, the food and the displays made it very easy to have conversations were many different groups of people. The food was excellent with great variety. The drinks were very tasty as well. Joseph’s assisted the family in setting up and displaying many many pictures in 5-6 different places.Joseph’s sits steps from the beach ( you just have to walk on a path thru the dune grass) so you can see the ocean from all the windows. It was a very nice affair and the venue was perfect. Great for weddings, birthday parties, sweet sixteen parties, funeral luncheons, basically any type of party. You can’t go wrong.Parking: Huge lot. I would be interested to know if they have valet parking in the summer.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp going up to the door

Beautiful setting, good service and consistently good food. They have special dishes daily. No gluten free bread options was disappointing.
