Mainely Lobster Cafe

This is hands down the best quality food, the freshest seafood and best tasting food in downtown Old Orchard Beach. My husband and I have eaten at several restaurants here while on vacation and there are none with this quality of food. We literally came back to OOB this year just so we could eat here again because of the food and friendliness of the entire staff. The owners not only operate the business, but are chefs and do their own cooking and make everything fresh. They are super nice, and truly enjoy serving their customers and offering the finest food downtown! This is strictly an outdoor eatery, and they serve only fresh seafood, so when they run out, or when there’s bad weather, they have to close for the day. We have eaten here 5 times, and the quality has been extremely consistent. Each time we’ve had their fresh haddock sandwiches (which are not fried, but have a delicious crispy outer crumb crust), and have also had their frozen wine/fruity drinks (so good), shrimp cocktail, freshly made blueberry pie with vanilla gelato (I’m a pie snob, and typically don’t like anyone’s pies other than my own homemade ones, but this was absolutely delicious, I will def be going back for more!!) I had an amazing lunch here. The staff was so friendly and the service was great! The food was fresh and made to order. I ordered the lobster roll and mini crab cake starter. They were both so tasty and the portions are generous. I highly recommend eating here while visiting OOB!

LOVE the food!! It’s a bit pricy but it’s worth it. My kids loved their mahi, tuna and shrimp bowl. I love the seaweed sidings and kimchi and other salad. And their Lobster roll… ohhh I wanted more. The chef was so good to give us extra rice?.

This place hands down has the best lobster rolls you will find. This was my second time here after first visiting a few years ago when they first opened and they did not disappoint. They are extremely friendly and provide great service as well. The lobster here is consistently cooked perfectly and is hand picked fresh daily. I have tried lobster at many places in old orchard beach and nothing comes anywhere near to the quality of Mainly Lobster!!!

We attempted twice to go eat here. You never know when they are open which isn't often. I understand they only serve fresh seafood and close once supply runs out but I have 2 suggestions: First, list hours as "varies, please call" instead of hours they don't actually keep and secondly, have a working number. These are constructive criticisms and I can't comment as to the actual food since they were never open when we attempted to eat there. Additionally the owner seems to have a chip on her shoulder whenever someone posts something she doesn't like. Back home we call that being in the business of going out of business

Hands down, the best lobster bisque we’ve ever had. My girlfriend doesn’t like Mac n’ cheese and she said she would eat their Lobster Mac n cheese for the rest of her life if she could. The hot lobster roll with the melted butter was breathtaking as well. Very generous portions of lobster and amazing customer service!!! We will absolutely be coming back!

First time in Me and having a lobster roll, I have an allergy with mayo and they made without. It was fantastic!!! Truly amazing and the staff was wonderful and friendly.

Great place to eat , I had the mahi-mahi it was delicious the lemon butter scallops were sweet and tender , lobster roll overflowed with sweet lobster Nice place to sit have lunch Our server was right there for anything we needed

Mainly Lobster Cafe was AMAZING! The BEST lobster roll…warm with butter and Mayo was the best! Excellent Cesar salad and amazing pineapple wine slushy! And fast, friendly, excellent service!

They have the best frozen drinks and the most delicious food. I’ve never been disappointed coming here!

This is my first visit to Maine and Mainly Lobster Cafe came highly recommend.. The lobster roll did not disappoint! It was SOooo delicious. I told them it was my first one ever so I ordered it the chefs way! So tasty! We also got the Tuna Poke bowl and so much flavor! Thank you for a great experience!

Not to be missed! Everything we have tried has exceeded our expectations. From the Lobster bisque which is full of delicious lobster meat and the outstanding mahi-mahi Greek salad I ordered that came with warm bread and was generously portioned. The staff were friendly and helpful. Five stars

I had the Lobster roll along with the New England clam chowder, and my wife had the chicken sandwich. Both were amazing. I had a lobster roll the other day from a local spot and it didn’t even come close to this location . Very happy and I will be back again. The lady working behind the counter taking my order was very sweet and nice. Love supporting local businesses!

Um, holy WOW, such a simple thing but from the lobster to the roll to the warm butter (unless you want the aoli - I went with butter) it's AMAZING. I haven't had many lobster rolls but this one will go down as the par to which I don't know if others can reach. It is market price, so be aware - when I went the 4 oz was around $25, but after your first bite you will think it's worth every penny. We're here for 3 days and I will definitely be back.

Got the clam chowder and 6oz lobster roll (chef's way!) And it was delicious! Staff were also super friendly. The chowder was closer to a soup than a thick chowder, but it was right up my alley so everything was perfect!
