The service here was above and beyond. Our waitress was very attentive the whole time. Our appraisers (calamari and bang bang shrimp) were both delicious. Would highly recommend both. Our baked haddock was a little dry and small considering the price. Looks bigger than it is because it was pretty thin and there were a ton of breadcrumbs all over it. It did come with a baked potato which was really good and a few asparagus which were average.

Fried food although is inherently greasy the lobster stew was a small French onion soup size the cream/ butter wasn’t stirred properly hence the butter separated from the cream…. Not worth the 29.00 they charge.
Overall this place is overpriced for the quality we experienced.

We wanted to eat outside and my husband wanted a lobster roll. We could do both! The owner or manager came twice to ask if everything was ok. We didnt wait long for the food. Ambiance was good. Food was good. I recommand!

A perfect day sitting on the ocean side deck at Surf 6. We both had burgers. Which were delicious. Everyone around us was ordering fish. I heard a customer complementing their dishes to the waitress. You won't be disappointed.

Was hoping for a better experience after reading some reviews. The lobster roll was good but stingy on the amount of lobster. The fries were either over fried or they need to change their oil. Seasonal employees so the service wasn’t that great.

My husband and I were trying to find a decent spot to have a nice meal. He got the lobster and I got the steak. I was a little hesitant ordering steak because it was a busy place and I figured they would just rush food out. Well that wasn’t the case, my steak was very good and had a good seasoning on it. My husband was happy with lobster meal. The inside bar is cool, it’s an old fishing boat. We will return.

Update 8/14/25: Surf 6- Please clean your lobster tank! No way would I eat a lobster from that tank. And how awful to keep animals in those conditions. What a great place to sit out on the deck, oceanfront, and enjoy the music while sipping a cocktail and enjoying a Maine style seafood meal. Or just get fingers and burgers if that's your thing.

This would have gotten a four just based on the location overlooking the ocean. Last year, we came here twice and both times the food was outstanding. This time, we went away disappointed. I ordered the scallops and despite being very dark as though they were cooked too long, they were somewhat chewy, not what I got last year. My wife got a fish sandwich and it also gave the appearance of being overcooked. Maybe the oil needed to be changed? Went with my daughters and their families and they seemed pretty good with the food overall.
One thing that Surf 6 does right is the drinks. They definitely don't go cheap on the alcohol! I would be willing to give it another try next year when we come back, but my wife is not so forgiving. There are a lot of decent restaurants in OOB and surrounding communities so that would factor into it as well.
