I would not waste my time eating here. The food was ok, but the service was terrible. We had to wait a very long time to even get acknowledgment once we were finally sat at our table. All while I was watching the wait staff just casually chatting about art in a corner while we were waiting for water and to just order coffee. The food was decent so thanks to the chef, but I will not be returning due to the lack of care for the customers.

Utterly delightful breakfast/brunch cafe where I was pleased to meet some relatives who currently live in Vienna, Austria. Not surprised we had to wait a bit on a Sunday morning, but it was totally worth it. The service was wonderful and the food (I had a Florentine benedict) divine. Would come back here any day.

Artemisia is an absolute gem of a restaurant. The food is excellent and you will not leave hungry. For brunch, I like to order the East End Omelet and a Mexican hot chocolate with an espresso shot. Their baked goods and pastries (esp the chocolate chip cookies) are so good too.
It's also just a very cute and cozy spot. I always enjoy my time there whenever I sit down for a meal.
Huge shout out to the lovely staff :) Y'all are my faves!

Great food, great service. Food came pretty quickly, and waiters came to us often, refilling water and coffee frequently. Food was fantastic. Would recommend this place to everyone.

This is my Portland sleeper pick. My lord, the food is FANTASTIC and so are the staff.
Portland has a lot of over-priced and over-hyped restaurants but Artemisia not one of them. This is a true diamond in the rough. It’s going to be my new go-to when I want something that is sure to delight.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I normally dont leave reviews but I hope my experience makes you think twice about going to this Cafe.
I visited the cafe with my colleague and were denied of service, although there were open seats. I got items to go instead and asked for a cup of water while waiting. The Asian waitress with glasses told me a straight up “no”. I overheard the waitresses badmouthing me as I waited for my food. The other waitress spilled water on my shirt and did not acknowledge it at all.
Abysmal service. Can’t speak for the food since I received a completely demolished sandwich.

The good was amazing! Lots of different flavors and options for meat eaters such as my husband, and vegetarian such as myself. I have some allergies to spices and they were very careful to check ingredients and make recommendations to assure that I had safe food. The sweet potato hummus sandwich and tuna wrap were fantastic, and my toddler loved the burger and fries! We will definitely be back next time we visit Portland!
Vegetarian options: The roasted sweet potato hummus sandwich was amazing, and there were a few different delicious-sounding salads we did not try today. There is also an impossible burger that was very good.
Dietary restrictions: They have a great selection of food for both meat eaters and vegetarians

I was very excited to try Sunday brunch being an outsider in town. When given the 30-45 minute wait time that seemed manageable. Our table of 2 ended up waiting an hour and 15 minutes with no acknowledgment of how long we had been waiting and we waited another 10-15 minutes until the waitress finally came over to greet us and take our order. If given a realistic wait time and didn’t have to go in to check every so often it would be a different story. It would be appreciated if wait times were more realistic and if you took phone numbers while people wait. Unfortunately the time waited overshadowed the delicious meal.

Learned about this cafe after they became James Beard Award finalists. This eclectic restaurant had delicious brunch items. We luckily we're seated without reservations, but had to wait for final seating to nab a spot. Burger was delicious. Couldn't decide between that and the French toast, but the server offered a half order and I'm glad I went for it.
