Went to see Spose PDank XMas 10, never been here before. It was small, which is good- everyone was close to the stage, first floor was mostly standing. We didn't go upstairs, eat or drink. Definitely want to go again.
Kid-friendliness: It was all ages, and there were kids there.

Great sound and atmosphere.
I’ve been to aura over half a dozen times now and the venue and staff are absolutely fantastic! Security is awesome, the bartenders are friendly! Awesome place to go for shows!

I had a mixed experience at this venue. While I faced significant issues, there were a few positive moments that deserve recognition.
First, the negatives: I traveled over 15 hours to attend this event and had major accessibility concerns. I left a voicemail in advance to confirm arrangements but received no response via call or email. When I arrived, I waited over 30 minutes to be seated in the accessible section, which soon became overcrowded with able-bodied individuals standing and spilling drinks on those seated. The area wasn’t properly monitored or enforced.
When I stepped out to smoke, I was told I couldn’t re-enter because I didn’t have an alcohol wristband—something staff never communicated beforehand. This added to an already frustrating situation.
That said, there were a few bright spots. While waiting in line, a kind young staff member worked to ensure I had a seat in the accessible section and sincerely apologized for the inconvenience. At the end of the show, staff also went out of their way to clear a safe route for me to leave despite the super long merch lines.
While I appreciate these efforts, the venue still has a lot to improve in terms of accessibility, crowd management, and communication.
Wheelchair accessibility: Difficult and long but doable

Worst experience. I’m 21 and the guy working gave me a really hard time. Made me go sit alone in a room and was very rude. Traveling an hour away and experiencing this treatment was really hurtful and I never want to experience this disrespect again.

If you’re looking for great food, drinks and to watch a game on a budget look no further! Every time we are in Portland this is our go to before a concert. Never a wait and the food is always amazing. I think because it’s attached to Aura people don’t think it will be as good as it is. Definitely worth a stop!

Very disappointed in the lack of customer service at this venue. I was planning on attending a concert here, and I had questions about ADA accommodations. I called several times over a few days’ time, and never received a response. I didn’t end up going to the event, because I didn’t know if I would be accommodated.

Just know before you go there is very limited seating and it's hard to see when your standing when you have taller people in front of you. Short people want to watch too! We had people standing right in front of the stairs in front of us. I tried to flag down security for this because I couldn't see but he looked at me and he turned an eye away. need more space and seating accommodations. Very overwhelming when you first get there especially being a first-timer. Didn't like the attitude that I got going through security telling me "it's not that hard to go through" talking about the detectors. No need to be a douchebag lady. Sorry but it's my first time here. They have three different check-ins. one is to get a wristband, the second person is scanning the tickets and the third person is security. Won't be coming back shitty employees and concert venue. Would rather go to the state theatre.

I’m disappointed by my experience at Aura], where I encountered rude bartenders who seemed to feel empowered by their positions. It’s troubling to see that in a space meant for the Black community, the staff doesn't reflect that diversity. This creates a negative environment for patrons, especially when we're spending our hard-earned money. The treatment I received felt dismissive and unwelcoming, which is unacceptable. I urge management to address these issues seriously and consider hiring a more diverse staff to better serve the community. I will never again suggest this place to anyone.

Saw Set It Off here last night!
The staff was really nice and super helpful. They handled vip really well and had plenty of staff to handle the crowd.
The venue is pretty small and I’ve heard that the audio stinks here but I heard no issues, it sounded great!
Hope to return soon! Maybe for the Luke Combs tribute!

I’ve been to many shows at Aura and have always had a great time! My review today is specifically regarding a show I went to on July 24 (Billy Bragg). My husband had a spinal cord injury last year and is in a wheelchair. This was one of our first shows after his accident. We had general admission tickets, and I was concerned my husband might not be able to see the show. However, we encountered Dan and Tim, both staff at Aura. They truly went above and beyond to make sure my husband felt comfortable. From helping him find a spot on the floor where he could see, to helping him to the bathroom, and even Dan taking videos of the show with my husbands phone so that he had a close up view, they really were amazing. We still talk about how kind they were, and wanted to send our heartfelt thanks to both of them!
