Just do yourself a favor, bring 3 friends, and order 1 of every small plate on the menu. Then order more. Have a Calpikachu or 3. Can't recommend highly enough. This place is delicious and more affordable than it has any business being. 11/10.

Bar Futo offers an exceptional dining experience. The secret chicken menu is a real gem, so try everything from it early. The restaurant also offers a variety of small plates, such as the umami hot chicken bites, grilled shishitos, and chicken liver mousse, as well as cold dishes like cold tofu and fluke crudo. These dishes are known for their flavor and portion sizes, with the grilled shishitos being particularly praised for their horseradish ranch and furikake.
The cocktails are inventive and fun, including the cosmo cocktail, genmai martini, and Toki highball from the highball machine. For dessert, the monstrous kakigori (shaved ice) is a treat, with options like lemon kakigori topped with meringue. The vibe is hip and modern, with Japanese movie posters adding to the atmosphere. Seating at the bar or chef’s counter offers a full view of the kitchen—dinner and a show. Service is personable, though leisurely at times. A must-visit for anyone craving Japanese-inspired yakitori and binchotan grilling.
