I've been to the original Bayou Kitchen down a few blocks from the Bayou Kitchen 2, which just opened. It's a unique place -- split into two sides. The Cherished Pub on the right side opens at 2 and shares the same kitchen. Then there's the Cherished Possessions consignment shop next door to the Bayou Kitchen 2/Cherished Pub. Anyway, the breakfast I had was very good -- two poached eggs, homemade hash, red beans and rice, and a biscuit. Friendly service.

The food at this new Pub is surprisingly good and of a fair value. The wait staff is pleasant and attentive. The cook takes pride in his work.
