Our absolute favorite croissant in town!
Service: 5
We’ve been to this location and their other Portland location and both are delightful. The staff is always friendly and welcoming and the pastries are drool-worthy 🤤 We live around the corner from here so picking up and taking away is convenient and easy. The hardest part is narrowing down which pastries to take home! Let’s just say for my husband and I we always end up selecting 4-5 because they rotate flavors and we never want to miss out. (We love when family or friends are visiting so we don’t feel guilty getting more parties to try 😄) The almond croissant here is the best in town, but their rotating bostock and danish have become my favorites.

Johnson & Wales Chef here. This is of the highest quality pastry you will see in New England. There are others who do high quality pastries locally in the greater Portland area, this is ahead of them. The best pastry you get in Boston would equal this pastry as well, or based on the day/chance one might ge marginally better than the other. The pictures they post explain it all. I bought one of every item they had it was very affordable, and all of them were exceptional and I question how yoy could actually even make a better pastry. Just look at the perfect gaps between layers. Perfection.

As close as you can get to Paris without flying across the Atlantic

I realized on a trip to Paris that this bakery is named after a super cool neighborhood in the northeast. I tried a LOT of pastries in Paris, and Belleville in Portland competes with the best of the best. Portland is truly one of the most talented baker cities in the world. I don’t think this city gets enough credit yet. Bakery capitals of the world in my opinion: Paris, then Portland. ❤️

A very nice addition to their location on the hill. The quality can not be beat. There are too many favorites to list, so treat yourself! That almond croissant reminds me of Lil's Cafe in Kittery, and it should be on your must order list.

Definitely top 3 best pastry shops in Portland. Everything here is absolutely delicious and they switch out their pastries seasonally. They run out of baked goods quickly so make sure to go as early as you can! They also serve pizza starting at 11 am and they have some of the best pizzas in town. Their pastries and pizzas range from traditional flavors to very creative flavors. I love their Kimchi danish and I had their Thai pizza once and both exceeded my expectation. The place is small so it’s not ideal for eating in but there are stools you can sit at by the window or along one of the walls. Service can be a hit or miss, sometimes you get friendly staff and sometimes you don’t. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you want top-notch pastries

Amazing outpost of a topnotch bakery! Every pastry here is a winner. The palmier might have been my favorite - impossibly flaky, so so good. Fun building too! Great addition to the neighborhood.

As a life long pastry enthusiast, this place is my new favorite! I have tried all varieties of croissants, cardamom & maple buns and I recommend getting a box so you can try all of them.
