I used to come here back before it was renovated, so before COVID. I caught a show at the State and waited at the front when I arrived because it said “Wait to be Seated”. I saw an open bar seat at the end of the bar, so I walked over to it and asked if I could sit here, since I only wanted a drink. The staff said I could sit there and they gave me menus and gave me water. The couple next to me appeared nice and so I proceeded to chat them up. However, as I was talking to the couple, the female suddenly grabbed me by the shirt aggressively. I was so caught off guard that I said I would leave as to avoid conflict. However, the fact that the staff not only served this person to the point of intoxication that she assaulted someone, but that the staff did not remove her once she did assault someone, displays the lack of professionalism the staff exhibits on behalf of the establishment. I called the establishment after the altercation to address the issue, and the staff laughed at me and told me there weren’t any cameras to witness the event that took place that night. I informed them that I would be returning to the establishment to address this issue at operating hours the next days.

Was walking around Portland looking for food on Feb 8th for way too long. It was wicked cold and windy. We stepped in here to warm up and have a cocktail and grub. The place was right up my alley. Tunes were dope, the old-school 1970's wall paneling was nostalgic along with castle greyskull above the bar. Service was great. We had 2 very fairly priced vodka sodas each and walked back to the Hotel. Back in the room we both agreed we should have eaten at CBG and hung out a bit... Next time I guess.

CBG is great! Great neighborhood hang plus they got a brunch option and plenty of cocktail options to choose from. Good hours, friendly staff, atmosphere is funky but they make it work.

This is such a fun stop for a great price for brunch and wonderful cocktails. Our service was impeccable (cant remember her name she had black hair and was so nice) The smash burgers were my favorite in town with the soft sesame bun and bearnaise sauce with the crispy patty. Close to everything and no wait mid day on Saturday as well. 10 out of 10.

Great little place. They were only offering brunch menu so I was expecting disappointment. I was wrong. I had the smash burger, delicious. GF had the Veggie burger, amazing. Parents had wings and veggies balls of some sort, both loved them. Their basil aioli was worth asking for some to take home with us! All in all glad we stopped and would definitely stop again.
