Phenomenal service. Food was good, but nothing to advise people they need to try.
Menu prices and bill did not align, which is slightly unprofessional, so be aware, but would go back for the tuna crudo

Went because I was aware that CP is very well regarded and a recognized place to eat in Portland. Food was good, but not great. We've had better and received larger portions at other less expensive, well regarded tapas places elsewhere in New England. Service was a mess, slow, and our requests were sometimes forgotten – requiring repeat reminders – or not honored at all. Although, the hostess was great and she was very helpful when we arrived, which was a bright spot. I don't think we'll return.

Our Waitress Lauren, was familiar with my girlfriend's health issues. The kitchen was super accomodating for her needs. ON TOP of that the Pork was some of the best Pig I've ever had. As a fat man, thats quite a feat!

Before attending an evening with Phil Rosenthal, I decided to grab a quick bite to eat at Central Provisions. I walked over from my hotel and not having a reservation, I managed to snag a solo spot at the bar downstairs. By the time I left, there was not a seat to be had so I was very appreciative that I had the opportunity to dine here.

The service was impeccable-friendly and engaging without being overbearing, and the food came out quickly.

Despite wanting to try every single item on the menu, it was just me so I had to limit my options. I finally settled on the beet salad and the bone marrow toast. Both were absolutely phenomenal and well balanced.

For dessert, I could not resist trying the caramelized zucchini cake, and I did not regret it. It was a unique dessert that was not overly sweet and presented the flavors as well.

All in all a fantastic meal and a restaurant that I would absolutely frequent if I lived in the area or the next time I visit.

MUST try the apple salad. one of my favorite bites in recent memory: new to the menu, apples three ways - poached, pickled, raw - with walnut pesto, crispy cheddar, a few bitter leaves - perfect balance of sweetness, acidity, bitterness and perfect textural contrasts. Phenomenal. Best cocktails: Unleash the Lion and the Gibson Girl

We made reservations for a Monday evening for my husband’s birthday. We were sat immediately even being about 10minutes early, which was nice as the restaurant was definitely busy. The vibes were great, and we loved our server and drinks! Unfortunately, where things fell short was the food. We got 6 dishes, we loved the corn bread special and zucchini cake dessert. But, our other plates fell short on taste. Everything was overly salted and didn’t seem to highlight the main ingredients of the dish. And the crab salad was drowning in what only tasted like only mayo. The other dishes we got were as follows. Bone marrow toast, suckleing pig, summer squash/duck dish, and crab salad.

My boyfriend and I visit Portland for the first time and we were told this city had good food but this place blew us away. I will never stop talking about it. Every single dish was a delight and put a smile on our faces. It is very rare we have meals that are this memorable. And we got to sit at the bar and watch each dish come out and it was so fun to watch the cooks do their thing! This place is an absolute must if you are in the area. I am so serious, do yourself a favor and make that reservation now!!!

What an incredible meal! Central Provisions absolutely lives up to the hype. The lamb burger was INCREDIBLE - perfectly cooked with amazing flavor depth and quality ingredients that elevated it far beyond your typical burger. The charred summer squash with duck was equally impressive, showcasing how simple seasonal ingredients can be transformed into something extraordinary when handled with skill.

The cocktail program here is top-notch. Creative, well-balanced drinks that show real craftsmanship behind the bar. You can taste the attention to detail in every sip.

Service was outstanding - knowledgeable staff who were clearly passionate about both the food and drinks, making great recommendations and timing everything perfectly throughout the meal. Jonathan was THE BEST as our waiter!

The vibe hits that sweet spot of being buzzy and energetic while still allowing for great conversation. You can feel the care and intention that goes into every aspect of the dining experience here. This is exactly the kind of restaurant that makes Portland’s food scene so special. Already planning our next visit!

Phenomenal experience. I loved the tuna crudo and beet salad and my wife’s street corn burger was delicious. We tried their temperance drinks and the little sparrow was refreshing and sophisticated. We had a wonderful meal and excellent service.
