A small little shop in the middle of Portland with a Big Twist, some of the best Ice cream cookies you'll ever eat, it's the Ice cream cake version of whoopie pies, a State Staple! I got the Maine Black bear flavor in the cookie sandwich, spot on delish! And the crew was Awsome !

Passed by this place when walking around in Portland and it had a long queue so had to stop by and give it a try. I was so surprised by how good their lemon sorbet ice cream is. It’s one of the best I’ve ever had and a must try if you love lemon.

Came to Portland for a bunch of reasons, but on top was to get Wild Maine Blueberry ice cream. Coastal Creamery had just that! Absolutely delicious, not too sweet, lots of blueberries in in. I highly recommend going there for any of the ice cream, all looked amazing. The staff was friendly, courteous and quick. Very nice young teenagers. Definitely a must to try, I will be back again. I know this is a seasonal flavor, can't wait to try other seasonal ones.

We hired Coastal Creamery to come to our wedding with the ice cream truck and it was one of the best decisions we made in wedding planning! Hayley was extremely responsive and helpful from day one; she made the planning process easy and personal. We chose to serve ice cream sandwiches and they even allow you to customize a wrapper for them and choose different cookie/ice cream flavors if desired. Our guests have commented on how fun and friendly Hayley and Kevin were the day of the event. Most importantly, the ice cream sandwiches were DELICIOUS! I am a foodie and ice cream lover and can be a harsh critic and these ice cream sandwiches were some of the best of my life. Our guests are still talking about them months after the wedding. We will be traveling back to Portland for years to come to go to the shop downtown. We highly recommend hiring coastal creamery and their ice cream truck for your wedding!
They gave me a large size for a price of a small it might be an accident or it was because im overweight which is offensive but I ain't complaining, I got extra ice cream

I consider myself a bit of an ice cream fanatic… I try ice cream shops like it’s my day job and admittedly indulge several times per week. With that being said, this is one of the worst ice cream shops I’ve ever been to. First off, this is one of the only places I’ve been to that doesn’t allow you to have any tasters, which I think I understand because if they allowed you to taste the ice cream, I don’t think anyone would buy it. I got Maine blueberry and mint chip. The Maine blueberry was pretty much the void of flavor and the blueberries just felt like ice chips in a hard tasteless ice cream. Underneath my blueberry scoop in my cup, my mint chip scoop was served to me as if it had been sitting out for 10 mins on a 95 degree sunny day. It was almost completely liquid. Flavor was fine but when I tried to spoon out the top scoop it just sank into the liquid on the bottom and completely spilled out the sides. It was inedible. It wasn’t even hot out, 70 degrees at 9pm. I have literally almost never in my life thrown out ice cream because I consider it a sin, but this had to be thrown out. I do not recommend.

We came for after dinner snack and got a kids size single scoop of Maine Blueberry. It was amazing. Not too sweet, had blueberries in it, creamy and the perfect size. Highly recommend!
