If you are in the Variety or In Andy's, you need to advertise where you are. Gilbert's is not your location. Get with it!

Ice cream is good. Sat outside and watched the people go by. After 6 p.m. parking is free.

Look for the ice cream cone statue outside! Me and my girlfriend stopped in because we wanted ice cream and saw the cone, not knowing anywhere near. It was delicious. Home made cold serve and a picturesque Sunday. Got mint chocolate, oreo, and fudge. Great service by gentleman behind the counter and even better ice cream.

Shot in the dark tried this shop and SO glad we did. Maine morning ice cream made with blueberries and maple syrup that the owner sugared from his trees. Just the right texture, not to sweet, $4 for 1 hefty scoop and Mark, owner, is super nice. If you go, and you should, tell him the "OTHER" farmers sent you. Across from Customs House on Commercial Street. Hand made in store by him! Go......go......GO!

We were visiting here from Ohio and found this cute little creamery inside a general type store! We went back the second day b/c and got more. My husband, who rarely even likes ice cream, suggested it b/c the first time was so delicious. Also, the flavors are local and original (Maine Blueberry contains real Maine blueberries and regional maple syrup and you can taste BOTH; the Needhams in Vanilla includes the local Needhams chocolate candies they crush up and the Maple Walnut had whole pieces of walnut & the delicious regional maple syrup and true flavor)! Also, both the owner and the person the next day were friendly, informative, kind and interesting. Love supporting not only locally owned places, but ones which incorporate the products of their home city and region. Can't say enough good things - just go there!!

Not very creamy, too icy. I got the Irish Cream chocolate chip and I have to say I'm very disappointed. It says small batch but the quality just isn't there

Homemade and amazing!

Amazing friendly service. The blood orange sherbet was absolutely amazing. The regular soft serve ice cream was also very good. The large is definitely very large. This place was so good we came back 2 days later for more. Prices are fair too

WOW. maple walnut was the bomb.

Their home-made scoops are amazingly smooth and creamy. I tried the chocolate and it had bitter hand-cut chocolate chips in it. If you adore chocolate you'll adore theirs. The salted caramel chip is also amazing - look forward to trying more of their flavors.

At first we were not sure we were in the right place because it is located in a general store. The woman behind the counter was nice. My fiancé thought our small size cone was big. But I'd say it's average. The peanut butter cup was exactly what I wanted! My only complaints were that they didn't have waffle cones and the tables were dirty.
