This is the 5th time that I have eaten at David's. The food and service are consistently excellent.
We had a wonderful family dinner here having made a trip from New Hampshire to Portland to celebrate my wife's birthday. We would definitely come back.
Tua aii Tina was the best I've ever had. I think that it was the Szechuan sauce that made the difference
Fabulous food for everyone in our group: vegan, pescatarian, gluten free, and carnivore. Great choices include: Fettuccine alla Puttanesca (vegan) David's (finely famous) Meat Loaf Tournedos Au Poivre Panko Crusted Cod And, of course, no meal would be complete without Garlic Knots Loved everything about our experience at David's.
Nice find. Warm & welcoming. Bartender makes a great Old Fashion. Food was excellent. Wagyu steak was worth the price. My partner had the tuna sushi & loved it.
Excellent service. Great menu. Save room for dessert. The desserts were made in house. There were additions but there are no substitutions on them because they are special
Daniel, our server, was pleasant and helpful with advising us on the menu. I had the beef carpaccio appetizer and the beef tenderloin au poivre, which were both delicious and amply proportioned. My partner had the wedge salad and “open-faced” lobster ravioli, which was inventive and delicious as well
Excellent food. Noise level pretty loud and music should be turned down a bit when the place is filled with diners.
I love the variety of choices and the pricing seemed practical and designed to meet customers honestly at a variety of price points. And all the food was delicious!
Always a treat to eat here when we visit the city. Consistently great food, attentive team, and fun atmosphere.

Interesting food choices, good specials and well paced. The meatloaf is excellent and the specialty drinks enjoyable. Overall Avery good experience
Very nice atmosphere and service. We had a later dinner so many other guests has finished. Delicious food amd desserts!
Started with the garlic knots. Not sure if those were supposed to be warm, but those came out cold. Worst fried calamari I've ever had in my life. Came out cold. The pot stickers came out ice cold as well. They tasted decent, but I wish they had any warmth to them. Just completely underwhelmed by this place.

Bad policies lose repeat customers. We have been repeat customers at David’s and hosted a dinner there the night before our wedding to welcome our out of state family and bought a gift certificate there for our officiant. All 12 of us showed up to the restaurant… then one of the kiddos was vomiting from food poisoning so his mom brought him to the hotel. We eat and then we got a $51 fee for the ‘no-shows’ even though they showed up and had to leave, which we explained to the waiter.
Pros: good food mostly and atmosphere
Cons: when you enter the restaurant the host desk is between the kitchen and the restaurant, so there is nowhere to be out of the way of irritated waitstaff.
The vegan option was embarrassing. My sister asked for the tomato salad with lettuce and there were about 5 lettuce leaves decorating the plate.
Yes, I did reach out directly to try and resolve the fee and they declined to work with me.
That weekend we spent about $600 at David’s and won’t be back. I

Food was really great. Good selection of entries. I had cod, my partner salmon. They have an online reservation system to hold tables for a certain time.
