I would say you’re definitely going here for the ambiance and the experience of dining somewhere unique. The decor was very nice and the views are excellent. Our server was very kind, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was just okay. We came in around 4:30 and did appetizers, drinks and dessert. Steamed clams were very gritty. Not your normal, occasional grain of sand, but very much could’ve been cleaned better. Crab cakes were a hit with our party. Great variety of drinks. Desserts were very good- we did the blueberry cobbler and the mud pie.

Sea food platter was terrible. Fried clams were little clusters of fried coating. Worst I ever had.

I had a lobster roll. The bun had been toasted prior. So, it was cold and dry. Very little lobster and had to ask for butter. Could barely see any on it. The lobster was very chewy. No flavor.

A Portland, Maine institution! I rang in my personal new year eating delicious sauteed mussels (viva Raye's Mustard!) and sipping a Maine beer with a good friend. Great service, awesome server Bobby wisely recommended the bread pudding with bourbon sauce for dessert - she had me dialed! Perfect.

I go here almost every time I hit Portland on a weekend. Reservations are recommended but not required if you don't mind waiting.

Lots of locals and good mix of seafood and pasta. It’s worth the price.

You may be waiting for a spot at dinner without a reservation, but if you don’t mind bar, you may get lucky.

This place is a solid NO. The kids working at the reception were rude . Waited at the bar for our table , no one served us . Got to our table it’s sticky . Like the place is old and not clean . Then the food . My mom got the lazy lobster. It shows on line they bring you the actual lobster cracked. No they brought a skillet of lobster pieces floating in butter looked disgusting. I would not recommend . The place is a tourist trap where all the tour guides tell you to go . It was the wordy meal , experience , ambiance . Go to The Dry Dock !!! That place was fantastic
