Our reserved table was the best in the restaurant. Service was excellent & pleasant. Food was good. We were there through a Travelzoo deal and we were not charged for any extras.

Heavy crockery, preheated, kept both the sandwich & soup nice and warm. The carrot-ginger soup was outstanding. The half sandwiches (Reuben, chicken) were delicious, albeit diminutive. Our server was very pleasant. The meal seemed to take a long time to come to the table, and since there were but two tables occupied in the restaurant, I suspect the burden lies on the kitchen and not on the server.

I'm not much of a breakfast eater so mine consisted of a sesame bagel with cream cheese. Plenty of cream cheese and the bagel was well toasted which I like. My partner had eggs with toast and potatoes. He was very happy. We will be going back there again.

The service was absolutely fantastic, we had the same server both days we were at the hotel. Since it was off-season the hotel was much cheaper than normal. The server recommended the pancakes and we were not disappointed, the next day I got the scrambler with a pancake on the side. All of it is delicious. The prices are a little higher but you were getting freshly cooked food including whole potatoes, eggs, pancakes etc.

I definitely rate our dining experience as an A+. Our food was excellent, the service was wonderful with very helpful suggestions, and the ambiance was very tasteful and relaxing. We will definitely return there soon, and I recommend it highly.

We were staying at the lovely regency hotel for an anniversary. This lovely brunch spot did not disappoint! Overlooking the street but with a quiet and elegant interior, it afforded the ability to people watch a little bit carry on a quiet conversation. I had the salmon plate, with smoked lox, bagel, capers and assortment of pickled items capers, pickles, and onions and a crisp sliced tomato. My husband had eggs over easy with corned beef hash, which he raved about. We had pots of earl grey tea, which remained nice and hot for the duration of our meal. Our server was excellent, offering recommendations and keeping our water glasses full (needed after the late night enjoying restaurant week in Portland) 5 stars. Will absolutely eat here when we stay here again!

We've had two lovely brunches at 1895 and would definitely go back again. Next time we'll try them for dinner. The room itself is elegant, more so than a typical brunch place but the prices aren't any higher. We didn't do it, but their website indicates they have valet parking and we did see some people using it when we were leaving. When you look at the menu you'll see a number of brunch-type items on the regular menu but they also had additional ones on a special brunch menu. We both had benedicts and liked them.

The front desk and bell stand service was lovely and greeted us when we arrived. John, our server, is truly excellent! We have been coming here for years and always enjoy catching up with John!

the BEST eggs Benedict that I’ve ever had. EVER. Ever ever ever. I can’t believe this is a hotel restaurant. Cozy atmosphere and the hollandaise sauce on the Benedict is Ah-MAY-zing. Can taste every single component. John was our waiter and he was adorable. Shared his own recipe for mimosas which were also OUTSTANDING! Ask him what his secret is!

The service was excellent. They were attentive and kind. The malt blueberry pancakes were amazing, the home fries were perfectly cooked and the omelet was wonderful. Great place for a nice breakfast.
