Forage offers a unique take on breakfast, and we give it a 5 out of 5 every time. The bagels are sourdough and wood-fired, and you can smell that delicious, toasty aroma the moment you walk in.
My personal favorite is the sea salt, it perfectly complements the tangy, chewy dough. The everything bagel is a bit different, with flavors like fennel. I’m not a fan of fennel, but my husband absolutely loves it.
This place is popular! So expect to wait in line, wait for your food, or wait for your online order. We plan for it, especially on weekends. Honestly, it’s often faster to drive over and order in person than to use the online system.
But good things come to those who wait and this place is worth it! When you walk in, you get to check out the rotating coffee specials (yes, you should order one) and the gorgeous row of pastries, a tasty bonus every time!
Note: While there is seating, this is predominantly a takeaway establishment, so plan to grab and go, or snag a seat if you're lucky.

Bagels are okay (for Maine - dont come close to NY/NJ/etc) but waiting an hour and a half for two bagels is insane. They have two people working the food, one person working the drinks and then like 5 people randomly doing nothing but wasting space. It's bagels people. Butter them or smear them with cream cheese, cut in half, wrap in parchment and move on with your life.
Also you order online and it says ready in 15 mins but then updates to ready in 90 minutes. FOR A BAGEL!

One of the top three bagel places in Maine! Great selection of spreads. A word of caution, if you get an egg sandwich and you're planning on eating it in the car, ask for it to be fully cooked. They come out runny, which is delicious when you're sitting at a table, but will get all over your clothes if you're trying to eat it on the go.

Spent 2 days (they ran out day 1), 30 minutes in a line, and $10 for a bagel with only a sausage patty and 1 egg.
Very hands off service, we were sitting before beimg called up to get our order from a shelf in a take out bag, one item was missing and needed a talk to get.
The bagels proper are definitely good, the music while waiting in line is pop-y and fun. But this place doesn't live up to it's own hype.
