Great pizza and service as well as a great selection of wines. I do wish there was more seating but the staff were extremely helpful! We will be back!

Great wine bar! Intimate setting with interesting but delicious rotating wines. Great tinned fish selection as well. Will absolutely be back!

Always very interesting (but delicious) wines by the glass to offer, and the service is outstanding. The little market has some lovely essentials. The space is very cool and the concept is perfect. Tempted stop in any time I walk by.

Mmmmm Monday night pizza night is the best time to go here. We already know that Monday's suck, meeting your friends/family here after work to eat their special pizza is actually fantastic. Pizza always changes each Monday and I will definitely be going here again!

If you're needing a good bottle of wine to-go in this area of town (or a specific pantry item), this is probably your best bet. If you only have a very small amount of time and want a quick glass of wine before going to a show or meeting friends somewhere else, F&F is also a good bet because you order the wine at the counter, cafe-style, so as soon as you're finished, you're free to go, no waiting on table service. Those are the only reasons I would see myself going back here. As mentioned, even if sitting at a table, you go repeatedly to the counter to order your $15/glass of wine or food like you're at a brewery. We were not here on the one day of the week they serve pizza, so the food menu was primarily spreads and cold sandwiches & concoctions. There was a cold pizza on the counter that I assume they would reheat for you, but I'd probably rather grab a slab and a bottle at Micucci's and do that at home. Lorne in Biddeford pulls this model off because it's almost all bar, no tables, and for the few tables they have, they will go talk to the customers when they sit down. We had similar, welcoming experiences at the same kind of shop-bars in Austin and Charleston. Here it just felt bizarre and awkward, and for whatever its worth, it was not busy. We left after one glass and sat at the bar at Leeward, paid about the same prices, and had some nice conversations with the staff in a more date-night atmosphere. To each their own.

This was my friend's first time here, and she loved their pizza. We each had the plain cheese 'Grandma slice'.

Everything was top knotch, bread was excellent, sausage and peppers sandwich was bomb and the granny Sicilian slice was straight from the Bronx. Must give this place a shot if your around.

Friends & Family is a MUST – excellent wine selection, good food, and really friendly service. This is a great place to sit down for a bit of community and warmth or pick up a bottle to go.

Stopped by for pizza Monday while visiting a friend in Portland. Cute interior with wine for purchase by the bottle. I had a local beer and we ordered the specialty pizza... fancy cheese, broccolini, hot honey... it was amazing. The rest of the menu was very limited, but I'd trust the specialty pizza again after this one!Staff was very friendly and food came out very fast. It's a casual vibe. I'd go back next time I visit!

The service here was incredible. I loved the style, the music, and the ambiance. The details were not overlooked here: such as the plates and the glassware matches the vibe. I walked in and the environment smelled like delicious herbs and garlic. The food was warm and fresh. I enjoyed the warm olives and the Grandma Slice. The Grandma Slice was a similar style to Slab Pizza, but lighter and it paired very well with a red wine. It satisfied without weighing me down. The prices were fair for Portland. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. This place specializes in wine and offers wine cocktails. It has something for everyone. They also have beer and some non-alcoholic options. It’s open all day, almost all the time.Vegetarian options: Olives are vegan

Lovely little market and wine bar. We walked by Friend & Family last fall on an Art Walk and it was packed so we didn't go in. But we made a mental note to try it at a later date and glad we did.We popped in on a rainy afternoon, grabbed a seat, and perused the menu. We settled on two mocktails and a small cheese plate. I also got a glass of rosé afterward and our host was super helpful and knowledgeable about the wine. The cheese plate (2 varieties) was pretty generous for the price and came with nice accoutrements including warm, crusty house made bread. If this plate was served in NYC each cheese would have been half the size and the price would have been double, ha. There is a small, nicely curated section of wine for retail sale as well as a section of specialty products. If it wasn't pouring we might have picked up a bottle and some goodies but it was too gross to carry stuff around since we still had errands to run. We'll definitely be back!
