everytime I come to Portland I try new restaurants and this place definitely is one of my favorites so far! great on a cold day

Cruise stop at Portland Checked both sides of the street and this was the most intriguing for local cuisine. Ate Clam Chowder and shared fried clams and fried calamari. Alcoholic beverages met our tastes. Loved the food!! Personnel were terrific!!! Ate outside and we were able to move near a heater before ordering as there was a chill in the air. A seagull ordering food from on top of car next to patio was fun to watch and looked well fed. Did wonder about owner of vehicle who probably thought that was the best parking spot ever!!! Was pleased to see by their menu on the patio samples of containers to show size of their clam chowder servings. Smart!

Wheelchair accessibility: Had sore foot so son had to push me in wheelchair. Able to go straight through restaurant and still be on patio. Left from patio to parking lot easily. Probably easier from parking lot as I recall step at front.
Three of us had lunch together and we all ordered chowder. I also ordered a clam cake. The clam chowder was very thick and was good, but dark, as if the cream had cooked too long. It just wasn’t great- nothing to write home about. The fish chowder however was a bit bland. The clam cake had a nice crunch and was of good size, but mostly bread with few chunks of clams. The tartar sauce was purchased in single-serve containers- not house made. The bread bowls for chowder were also not made on site, but we’re good. We observed standard, pre-frozen French fries and I was glad I had not ordered them. We ate outside on the deck along the wharf. The place was hopping.

The clan strips, chowder and lobster roll were all excellent! The service was friendly and food was served quickly, fresh and the correct temperature.
A little past 1PM but found several empty tables. Sat outside on the partial deck near the waterfront but not much of a scenery. The lobster roll and clam chowder were very good. The bacon-lobster-tomato (BLT) sandwich (roll) was a new one for me but tasty, as was the fish plate (tender haddock). The fries that came with it were lightly seasoned and crispy, just the way I like them. Sodium content for all dishes were well-controlled. Quick service once seated; however, we did not see the server again until we checked out, likely due to increased patrons. Surprisingly, prices were a bit lower-than expected for the area frequented by tourists.
Stopped for chowder on a whim and it was out of this world amazing! I also got a haddock sandwich and their blueberry pie! All of it was heaven. My only regret was not getting the chowder in a bread bowl! ? Next time!
